OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

There are extenuating circumstances in almost every aspect of life. Rape, Incest and if the mothers live is in danger.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would like to get people off the public tax role and actively back in the community. I don't believe people are made to be idle. Without looking over the budget line by line it would be hard to give my assessment. FL has a good cash reserve. I believe the Governor veto quite a few pages from the proposed budget.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Legal principle that is related to the first amendment. The government shall not make any law with respect to establishing of religion or the free exercise thereof. Religion shall be between man and his god. There shall not be a state established religion as was with the church of England.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Neutral

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Health care policies need to be negotiated with the insurers. The government was never in the business in all my years of paying for mine and my families healthcare. Medicare is an earned benefit. Pharmaceutical prices need to be stabilized and manufactured in the US. Personal budgets need to be prioritized and purchase health care policy. I do agree they are for the most part not affordable. Under Obama nothing but untruth calling it "The Affordable Care Act". The citizens who had their own doctors and policies that were affordable became not affordable raising their policies to subsidize the have not and in some cases illegals. I like to see my car and homeowners insurance become affordable too.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

People who are in good health, not a burden to the taxpayer, educated, sponsored and have something to offer and benefit the US. Immigration attorney's should not be paid by the taxpayer. Controlled as the economy and environment can support. Vetted - no criminal element. People who will work for citizenship, assimilate into our society and call the US their country.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Roman Catholic. Help those who are in need as I have in most of my life public service to the United States and the community.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

With all of the issues mentioned there has to be flexibility. Economy has to be balanced. Can't keep printing and borrowing funds. The taxpayer can't run their finances on a deficit budget. Washington DC seems to have forgotten who they work for and who money they are spending. Immigration - Has to be controlled, sponsored, immigrant has to be in good health and not a burden on the taxpayer. My grandparents came to the US in the late 1800's there was no welfare, healthcare, food assistance or section 8 housing. How did this become the responsible taxpayers burden. Foreign - If the government wants to defund something they can start with the UN. Need to be persistent and relentless on countries that want to destroy the US. Social Matters - Simple equal rights to all not special treatment for some at the expense of others.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

My formal education as listed above as well as my practical and life experiences. I've worked with and dealt with a wide diversity of people during my military and law enforcement career. Within law enforcement I've worked and was trusted working in an autonomous unit. As a Flight Engineer on heavy jet aircraft with the Air Force I was entrusted with multi-million dollar aircraft. Moving equipment, supplies, personnel and being being in charge of the enlisted crew members. Numerous ancillary courses and training with law enforcement and the military. Strong leadership benefits the communities. I've had to make spit second decisions as well and stepping back to evaluate a situation.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Just asking the the citizens for their support. This is considered a part time position by definition but with full time responsibilities. I'm retired and I have the time to apply to this position. I'm certainly not doing it for the $29,697 per year salary. Vote for the person not always down the party line. Thank you for allowing me to participate and your trust.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I'm an NRA life member and firearm instructor. Responsible trained ownership. Passing a background check doesn't qualify someone to handle a firearm. Secure the firearm. I don't see anyway to totally eradicate removing firearms from the criminal element. Seems there will always be a black market. All my years of handling a firearm I have't see one go off without pulling the trigger. Firearm ownership is not just for protection but for sport as well. CCF carry needs additional training.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1) Safe schools and neighborhoods. Without law enforcement and equal justice this can not exist. 2) Small business owners getting back to normal. Large corporations have assets and cash reserves unlike small business owners. 3) Environment - water, solid waste and infrastructure.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

The racism that I'm observing from the media is manufactured and used as an excuse for insurgency to undermine this countries constitutional form of government. I'm not naive so to say racism doesn't exist. But it's not one sided either. At this point socialist / marxist and who is funding that cause is a threat to domestic security. Along with City and State government officials allowing this upheaval to take place and not upholding their oath of office.
