OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Rape and safety of mother

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

I think it is wrong to take a life, even your own. However, I believe that in cases of terminal illness, as a matter of compassion to prevent suffering, the individual should have the right to receive this assistance if they so choose.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Workers should be properly compensated based on their skills and qualifications. That rate of compensation should be freely determined between the two parties engaging in that agreement, being the employee and the employer. No government involved.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

The notion of ESG is ridiculous.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

NONE. Government must stay out of the business of churches.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

No one should be forced to conduct business against their will or in violation of their beliefs.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Option D most closely matches my views. Healthcare should be private and voluntary. However, to eliminate the Medicare and Medicaid at this point would required a weaning off period over a period of time as certain people such as those retired actually planned their life into that system. Stairstep out of that system and offer some kind of incentives to go private.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

NONE. Educate people on the benefits and hazards of the procedure and allow them to make their own choices and for that of their children without any coercion.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Close the southern border and ensure any immigrants adhere to a legal process to enter the US. I served as a senior officer as part of a National Guard Task Force on the border in 2006 and believe strongly in securing the border from illegal entry.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

As a homeschooling dad, I have fought for legislation for the rights of parents to chose their own schooling option and their ability to move the funding wherever they go.

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian who believes that God created all things and has a plan for our life. We chose to follow His Divine plan or not. However, I respect that others have different beliefs than my own and no one can force or coerce another to follow that belief. I believe in the Non-Aggression Principle that we cannot harm other people nor take their things.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Voting is a solemn and serious action among US citizens and everyone must show proof of identity to vote. If cost is an issue, then just find a way to make a basic ID card for free. It is done in many states and can be done everywhere.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

The founding fathers established an outstanding process to make small states just as equal as big states as far as having a seat at the table, to prevent small states from losing representation against some big cities. We must keep the EC as fully constitutional.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Racism does exist, no doubt, and is wrong in every way. However, race issues were instigated and agitated by elements within our federal government to distract from other issues at hand. We need to focus on our common ground as Americans, and as West Virginians to fix our great society. The only "threat" to domestic security is a false sense of racism from a leftist agenda. Stop that agenda and we can come together as a society.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT must end in our government institutions, our schools and our private sector.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Males biologically have physiological differences from females and should be respected for such. Treat everyone equal in justice, but in bathrooms and sports, respect the separation of space.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

I adhere to A and C most. I do believe in a clean environment; water, air and soil. However, that must be balanced with common sense. The major problem is that massive industrial companies who pollute, buy their way out of being held accountable through lengthy legal processes, while small companies such as WV farmers are being harassed for cows while they cannot afford expensive lawyers and court proceedings.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Traditional forms of energy such as coal, oil and gas currently provide the most reliable form of electricity. Lets explore other options for the future but keep legacy systems in place until new forms of energy are dependable.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The purpose of government is to protect our inalienable inherent natural rights. The US Constitution says that it was established to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Constitutional Conservative.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Disagree

We must maintain law and order among society, ensuring our police departments have the tools and training they require, while at the same time providing them appropriate civil guidance and principles to protect every citizen's rights. This comes from proper principles, leadership and training, not from defunding.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Absolutely none. The 2nd Amendment of the Constitution does not allow for any restrictions. In fact, it expressly prohibits restrictions, guaranteeing the right to bear arms. Every single law regarding weapons violates the 2A of the Constitution.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

Teachers have the right to defend themselves and the people/students under their care. See the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution. "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." No, it does not make an exception for school.
