QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

It's an affront that our tax dollars are given to Planned Parenthood. I would do everything I could to end that funding immediately.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Chemical abortion drugs are by their nature unsafe, deadly in fact to the unborn baby.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

None. I believe that an unborn baby is a human life, created by God, in His image. Because of this, I cannot prescribe an arbitrary week of development where it is okay to end that life. I would love for all babies to be born. To that end, we spend our time and resources helping moms believe that they can have their baby. We buy groceries, birthday and Christmas presents, provide housing and transportation as needed, to help pregnant moms. I believe this is the way to reduce abortions.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

Since the Dobbs Supreme Court decision came down, the states have been tasked with passing state laws dealing with abortion. But the federal government most certainly has a role to play since this is about the life and death of our most vulnerable and defenseless. I would support federal legislation that created the strongest possible protections for the unborn. This legislation would not affect more restrictive state laws, but would keep a state from having, for instance, no restrictions on abortion, as some states are implementing.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

That our government should not establish a state religion. It doesn't mean though that people of faith should be precluded from being in office, which is how it is too often portrayed by the Left.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C. We do not have the luxury of fighting other country's battles; we don't have the money, and our military is in poor shape. OUR border should be the highest priority, not the border of other countries. We may support our allies with weapons and intelligence, but I would not send another penny or person to a conflict in another country unless Congress declared war. I'm completely done with sending our treasure and our young men and women into war zones across the world for no strategic purpose.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

First and foremost, I believe that the United States has no bigger ally than Israel. The scriptures make it abundantly clear that Israel is sacred in the eyes of God and those who bless Israel will themselves be blessed by God. As a Christian and an American, I firmly believe that we have a diplomatic, moral, and spiritual duty to stand alongside the Nation of Israel. Every day, we are watching terror wage war on Israel. In Congress, there will be no stronger supporter of Israel than me.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

There are a few reasons. First, there is an overall reduction in patriotism in the US. There is an intentional effort in schools and in the media to blame America for all the problems in the world. Second, I believe people follow strong and courageous leaders. That does not describe our current Commander-in-Chief. Third, we have allowed, permitted, even encouraged, a full on assault of wokeness to infect our military, from the top down. Lastly, we have a smaller pool of healthy candidates.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

There are none.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C. Healthcare could be fixed rapidly if there was genuine competition in the private market (no Certificate of Need like here in North Carolina), if there were transparency in pricing, and if the government got out of the way. Having said that, I am fine with having a safety net for the elderly and disabled. Our current safety net of Medicare and Medicaid unfortunately continues to expand, now covering healthy working-aged people. C. But the safety net should only be for those unable to work.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

Lower tax rates and reduce regulations. Reduce the federal budget. Do away with departments and agencies not constitutionally required or that overlap with other departments and agency functions. Thoroughly audit all remaining department, agencies.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

We need to finish President Trump's border wall. We have illegal aliens, including terrorists, coming into our country every day. We have drug traffickers and human traffickers with operational control of our southern border. This is a national security issue. President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas both need to be impeached for their intentional actions and inactions related to our border.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigrating to America is a privilege, not a right. In order to come to America, immigrants should be self-sustaining, help further American exceptionalism, and be in our nation’s best interest. In addition we must strengthen and enforce our immigration laws to keep our country safe from the crime and illegal drugs flowing across our borders.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

I wholeheartedly support the free market in education. Competition is the best way to raise quality and lower prices.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

The more we get government out of education and the private sector into education, the better the product will be and the lower the cost will be. The Department of Education is not envisioned by the constitution and should be eliminated, along with all other departments and agencies that aren't constitutional.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

If we follow the constitution, there would be no restrictions. "Shall not be infringed" is very clear. No restrictions on gun ownership are needed for public safety. The opposite is true. A well-armed population reduces crime. Public safety can be achieved with a police force that is appropriately supported and funded and prosecutors and judges who will do their job and prosecute and properly sentence criminals instead of letting them back out to commit more crimes.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Strongly Disagree

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

John Locke wrote the purpose of government is to secure and protect the God-given inalienable rights of the people. Abraham Lincoln urged us to ensure that "government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth." Our federal government is too often not protecting our rights, but rather steamrolling them. For ex, our government spent more money trying to stop Ivermectin than fentanyl. And our government continues to partner with big tech to censor conservatives.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Planned Parenthood is reworking it's business model to expand into the mutilation of our children. They simply must be defunded and all the puberty blockers and bodily mutilation on minors must be outlawed.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born-again Christian. I believe God created all things. Mankind fell into sin and because of this was separated from a perfect God. To redeem His creation, God sent His Son Jesus to earth to live a perfect life and to be crucified on a cross to pay the debt for my sins. God rose him from the dead on the third day and He will return one day soon to redeem His followers. My values derive from the Bible and the Golden Rule - do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear energy is the most reliable and efficient energy source we have. I believe we should be building many new nuclear power plants.
