QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
When the life of the mother is at grave risk as a result of the pregnancy.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?
Up to conception.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?
Yes
ECONOMY
The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.
Strongly Agree
By taxing accumulated or bequeathed wealth at a lower rate than earned income, the gap will inevitably grow. I favor a model that taxes all sources of wealth at the same rate.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Eliminate the state's income tax regime and switch to a sales tax regime.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Neutral
Our state's constitution guarantees a free education up through the 12th grade. I would be willing to go further to guarantee free technical or trade school education.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
US Constitution's 1st Amendment guarantees religious liberty thus government cannot compel private individuals and businesses to compromise themselves.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
When the same standard applies to all structures of similar characteristics. For example, structural, electrical, fire suppression standards. As it pertains to public health, the constitution's 1st Amendment makes no exceptions. Thus, government can close non-religious lecture halls but cannot close a church building.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
It should be respectful. Churches should never advocate violence against the state or it's officials. The Church and it's satellite charities should be very wary of accepting government funds or accolades lest it be co-opted. The state should not attempt to silence the Church through it's taxing or regulatory powers.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
1. When the day-to-day normal setting would be highly conducive to the transmission of a disease or illness. 2. When the vaccination is deemed to safe, efficacious, at not on "Emergency Use Authorization" status. 3. When it's free of charge. 4. When the government will assume liability for adverse effects.
EDUCATION
States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.
Strongly Agree
In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?
None.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
When the public comment time window is closed.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
I do not see an issue with gender identity at workplaces, etc. By singling out this group, it fosters irrational fears.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian that practices the Roman-Catholic religion. I believe strongly in the Theology of the Body as proposed by Popes John-Paul II and Benedict XVI. I feel that these 2 men made great attempts to explain the beauty and holiness of human sexuality. However, the current leadership of my church, along with all other religions, has abandoned this topic entirely and surrendered it to secular forces who have fed the starving flocks a diet of online pornography, Pride celebrations, Abortion, transgenderism, sodomy. As a legislator, I plan to work with whoever will promote true masculinity and femininity. I want to fund programs that will teach boys how to become men; and men how to become fathers.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Zero out the voter databases and require everyone to re-register every 4 years. Narrow the Early Voting window so that ballots are not left to be tampered with for so long. Water-mark every ballot like we do with paper money. Use blockchain technology that is used for Bitcoin transactions to show everyone real-time ballot counting.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes. Racism is one of most cutting accusations that someone can make. Responses to allegations of racism are normally heated, especially when they are perceived to libelous. Accusations of racism are, without a doubt, escalatory.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To do what is impracticable for the individual to do for himself. An individual cannot secure his family and property while earning a living. An individual cannot build a road beside his home.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
I written Op-Eds on abortion and the Marriage Amendment. I can send you pdf files if you will provide me an email address.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
1. Direct the NC government and economy toward the prioritization of the family. 2. Off-shore energy development from wind, waves, and currents. 3. Bulwark individual rights such as speech, conscience, personhood, armed self-defense, parental rights in the education of their children.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Other funds needs to budgeted for these needs. If churches will focus on preaching on the "Theology of the Body", we would have far less violence and confusion in our society.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
1. Universal background checks 2. Red flag administrative hearings that offer speedy due process and prohibit hearsay evidence.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Would you support legislation that prohibits biological boys from competing on girls sports teams?
Yes
Gender is determined at the point of conception and does not change throughout life. Gender is not just a difference is the sexual organs but a difference down to the cellular level that effects many anatomical qualities that are necessary for athletic performance such as height, wingspan, testosterone, lung capacity.
