QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should be allowed in cases of rape. incest, and life of the mother.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?

I would be willing to roll back the statutory abortion law in NC

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?

Yes

ECONOMY

The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.

Strongly Disagree

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

We should further simplify the code. One proposal I am making is for a gas tax moratorium anytime the average price per gas hits a certain threshold of say 3.75 per gallon.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

not through college

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

business should be free to serve or not serve anyone they feel like. No government should trample on the rights of a business owner!

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

Separation of Church and State means 2 things. One, the government will not proscribe a certain denomination or religion for the citizens and the government will protect the rights of those not participating in a mainline religion to be able to practice their religion freely without interference. Two, government, at any level, may not require citizens to engage in behaviors that violates their religious beliefs.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

NONE!!!!

EDUCATION

States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.

Strongly Agree

In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?

None

When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?

Parents should always be allowed to speak at school board meetings baring they are not physically threatening the members of the school board or using language that would not be appropriate in front of our children!

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I have a personal relationship with my heavenly father, I am an active participant in various programs in my church, and my wife is the director of music for the church. We raised our children in a Christian home that was focused on Christian values and have an expectation that as we display those values of love and kindness that they too display Christian values.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

We cannot do anything else in life without a photo ID including getting the JAB. IF the ID is good enough for the JAB it is good enough for voting!!!!

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Reduce mail in voter fraud. Reduce the number of days after the election that ballots may arrive to zero. Make photo ID the law again in NC.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

in my opinion racism was nearly eradicated until Obama was in office. I served in the military with people of all colors and we NEVER cared! We were all there to do a job. Since Obama, there has been a desire to make everything about race which has further divided the nation and caused more problems.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Government should be for the providing of public services such as police, fire, and ems. Or at a bare minimum provide a means to contract with these type agencies. Government should be there to tackle the projects that small groups of citizens could not do on their own (build highways). Government is there to provide military protection for the country as a whole.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

none

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO!!!!

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

My job as a legislator is to provide the best constituent services as I can. most of the job of the legislator is not writing the flashy bills that gets you on Fox News; but, it is solving the issues of the constituents back in the district. Should I be elected, I promise to be a servant leader and to always address those issues as they arise!

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

no new restrictions!

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree
