QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Only when the mother's life is in danger and that is only possible remedy left. "Depression" or "Anxiety" is not enough.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
We HAD chances in Congress and the General Assembly to end taxpayer funding of abortion. It's long past time overlooking this with "we can't let the Democrats win." Money for Planned Parenthood is partially funneled to pro-abortion candidates. This is a fact. Stop this!
If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?
Congress should make a national determination of when life begins, which should be conception. Fifty different interpretations of when life begins is highly unwise. If the Democrats tried (and thankfully failed) to codify Roe v. Wade as law, then Congress had the right all along to determine when life begins. We should not overlook we HAD a chance to do this four years ago. We also had a chance 6-9 years ago to do far more restrictions in North Carolina, and failed to do so. I believe life begins at conception and any bill that does not expressly state that, I oppose. I also oppose taxpayer funding of abortion and morning-after pills.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
There is money to be made from doctors nudging people to do this. The love of money is the root of all evil.
Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?
Yes
There is money to be made from doctors nudging people to do this. The love of money is the root of all evil.
ECONOMY
The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.
Neutral
The government's job is infrastructure, upholding our rights, protecting the innocent, enforcing contracts. There is a difference between guaranteeing opportunity and guaranteeing outcomes. The best way to help the working class is to turn them to entrepreneurs. It should be easier for the working class to get GRANTS, not loans, GRANTS, to start businesses. It should be easier to start a business than to go in debt to go to college.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I support a flat tax, period. Preferably consumption with a mandatory limit of rates for food and medicine. I do not support tax breaks for any group of voters or corporations, unless they are totally disabled from working.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
Our State Constitution only provides for public education unless EDUCATED BY OTHER MEANS. This screams "Internet" today. I will seek to increase the state online library, online courses through college, home and charter schools, and a "Rural Fiber Initiative" before our kids move to big cities (and take one guess how they'd vote).
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
I oppose that and I oppose people blocking businesses of people who have strong religious beliefs. Not the right approach.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Only when there is an immediate danger or violate constitutional law or the rights of innocents. The COVID mandates violated our rights under Article 1, Section 13 of the State Constitution, which says I have an inalienable right to worship Almighty God according to MY conscience, and not authority whatsoever can interfere with the rights of consciene.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
The State should only enforce contracts between consenting adults and not interfere with the Church. I believe everybody should pay taxes as Jesus commands.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
(C) We should also look at helping self-employed people who have no options. But we should be wary of using taxpayer money for vanity cosmetic surgery, transgender surgeries, etc.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Only when the vaccine has been proven over years or research to PREVENT any transmission of the disease in question. Even then, someone's religious or personal rights supersedes even that. The COVID "vaccines" are clearly not stopping anything and should never be forced on anyone.
EDUCATION
States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.
Strongly Agree
But that's not enough. We need fiber Internet everywhere as a public utility and give as many home and private options as possible. I myself earned a Bachelors and Masters degree in Sports Management this way. I have a relative who has to learn at home due to serious health issues preventing her to regularly attend public school. The school was not the "bad guy" here. Just unfortunate circumstances.
In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?
None. When PTO Presidents are "cancelled" for raising these issues, it's time for private school vouchers.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
When their time runs out. But I have seen countless meetings where the School Board praises a bunch of students at the start, who then leave with their parents and do the real agenda with virtually nobody else there. It's a control tactic, make us comfortable. We better wake up and we need more time to speak on real issues.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
It also says that people have a RIGHT to NOT agree. I do not believe in governments forcing people to be "saved." But you don't even have to believe in God to believe Romans 13:6&8 ("Pay revenue when due" and "Owe no one anything but to love one another, for whoever loves each other fulfills the law") makes perfect sense. Romans 13 is the foundation on how I look at law.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
You are what God says you are. If someone "changes a gender," there are things we have to consider, that is being sorted out. But under no circumstances should a man "become a woman" and play in women's sports.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
History is but a collection of tales of dominance, written by the dominant party, whether it is complete, or even factual. Politics is but the current of dominance. Sometimes, "racial superiority" or some other form of "superiority" have been used to justify many evil things. But ultimately there is no race, creed, nationality, club, or any other group, in the Lamb's Book of Life. Just individual names. America is a testimony of repentance, of trying to make things RIGHT!
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am an independent-minded Christian who believes in the doctrine of the New Adam, where the Father's grace is renewed every morning. I believe we are being prepared to witness to the universe. We should look at being the Kings and Queens of this country. We focus on the benefits of liberty but not the burden. We are too decadent, too fat, too lazy, but we hide it behind decadent churches and government. We are not fooling God. Wisdom is far more important than money.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I have always shown my identification when I vote, even when told I didn't "have" to. Why? Every time I have run for office, I had to show my identification. The local Board of Election knows me, but mistakes can happen, maybe I am not eligible to run for the seat I wanted, not in the right location. If I have to show my identification every voter should as well. Those that say otherwise only want to excuse rigging elections for their agenda.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Independents should be allowed to run for public office without a petition requirement. I would not be against a holiday to urge us to vote but only if voter identification is required for everyone.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No, but unforgiveness is. Jesus clearly warned I am not responsible for the sins of my fathers, and anyone who can not forgive can NOT be forgiven. "Racism" is sometimes a front, an excuse to shame people out of power. I believe ANYONE who works hard, studies hard, and earns the trust of trustworthy people can be successful. If something offends you, or you can not forgive, you have an AGENDA! Be bigger than that, do better than that!
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A) I am for building more green-technology infrastructure, whenever it may happen that is more efficient than what we have. When Elon Musk is saying we need to drill for more oil, it tells you the current people "in charge" are deliberately trying to destroy our country for their own power agenda.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
It is infrastructure, public safety, protecting the innocent, enforcing contracts, fair regulation of industry, and what WE THE PEOPLE ALLOW them to do under our national and state constitutions. It is not about regulating salvation, giving out corporate welfare, or protecting classes of people.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I am probably best described as "conservatarian" who believes the state constitution is just as important as our national one. I oppose foreign aid and think the Ukraine war, in which Russia and the Ukraine are ruled by less than great people, is a result of corrupt politicians with their "hands in the cookie jar." I agreed with Trump's efforts on peace and wished he was still in office pushing peace through strength.

Here is an article on my entry to the campaign. It focuses on the sports betting bill. I do think there will be some legalization but it is completely reckless how we're doing it. I favor a slow-down approach with a gaming commission first. If the current bill passes it will destroy families and lead to iGaming without any thought of proper governance, which I can not support: https://www.blueridgenow.com/story/news/2022/03/10/republican-dennis-justice-fletcher-running-nc-house-117/9437499002/
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I have fought on the front lines locally for thirty years to save taxpayer money, including opposing the 1997 school bond referendum. I don't look be popular or "politically correct," I simply care about proper government that does not put our children in the poorhouse or regulate our freedoms. Any long term bond is theft of children's money and I have always voted "no" on them. I will push for programs to counter the 33% adult obesity rate, including direct payments to local parks and recreation programs (not "PARTF," a state grant program where politicians decide what to do with our money). We need to focus on creating more entrepreneurs, not just more workers. I always have and will oppose "corporate welfare." I have a Master's degree in Sports Management and am a widowed father of five. I regrettably understand better than most how mental illness can destroy a family. I do believe we need more mental hospitals and group homes. But we should build these DEBT-FREE! SAVE money, a radical concept in government. I hope Republicans and Independents vote the for the one who was with them all along, fighting for the working class because I am one of them. And I am NOT FOR SALE AT ANY PRICE! I'd rather lose an election than lose my soul, lose my future crown. Vote for the candidate who believes in JUSTICE FOR ALL!
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Neutral
Nobody is above the law, but I do agree that officers need protection if they are doing their duty from frivolous lawsuits. This applies to bus drivers trying to break up fights, too.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
The idea of that is insane.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The only protections are that convicted felons or those who are legally deemed incompetent should not have guns. I oppose "red flag" laws where "moral busybodies" can make false accusations and people lose their guns without due process. "If you have to sell your garment to buy a sword, do so." It is better to be naked and armed than clothed and dead. The Ukraine conflict demonstrates why people should be armed. Not one BLEEPING INCH on guns! Not one!
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
Unless the shooter was the gun dealer, heck no.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Would you support legislation that prohibits biological boys from competing on girls sports teams?
Yes
When even libertarian-leaning Senators like Rand Paul are opposed to this, that should tell you something. We DO need to promote women's sports more, and it is amazing how cowardly feminists are in not speaking against what is clearly unfair treatment to girls and women in sports.
