QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Abortion should be a decision available made between a woman and her doctor and whomever she chooses should be a part of that decision.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

In criminal cases.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Agree

Exceptions can be made but if an individual is in a profession that prevents them from fulfilling a role, than perhaps they have chosen the wrong profession. Discrimination should never be acceptable or tolerated.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Neutral

I think this is certainly important enough to monitor and continually assure the United States interest.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

I believe United States to strive for maintaining diplomatic and civil relationships with all countries to maintain peace in the world. Certainly United States oil interests have relied on a strong relationship with Israel. The dependence on fossil fuels should not dictate protecting unjust treatment of a group of people.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

But we should have universal affordable healthcare for all. Healthcare is a human right and access should be affordable and accessible for all.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

It is a personal choice and freedom to choose whether or not to get vaccinated but I believe government, employers and schools should be allowed to require vaccination to protect the public and it's employees and children, with some exceptions.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

An increase to minimum wage is long overdue and should reflect at minimum a livable wage by location.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

Yes

ESG should not be used as a political pawn in investment as it has been demonized by the Republicans. Environmental, Social and Governance are important factors in maintaining democracy, freedoms and a planet in the future that sustains humans.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Neutral

I feel the US should do a better job in creating a pathway to citizenship. Many are escaping horrendous living conditions or seeking a better life as the vast majority of current United States citizens. All of us have benefited from past immigration of ancestors or personal to the United States and many faced opposition. It is important to remember that we all came to this country by immigration with the exception of native Americans.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Disagree

The states & country have an obligation to educated students. The public school system became that foundation to make sure that all children are educated. Personal parents choice and decision to educate their child through private, charter, homeschooling should remain separate from the duty of our country to educate children. Personal decisions on choice for their children should be protected, but the "funding the student, not the school" is defunding public schools & students are losing.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Neutral

Absolutely children should be protected from abuse or grooming. Gender identity and medical treatment for gender dysphoria is a separate issue & should be handled with the privacy & protecting the rights of the child, Parents, guardians, child along with physicians and medical care team should manage the treatment of child in the child's best interests & not with government overreach into the personal lives of the child's family.

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Agree

As long as those decisions do not come in the form of abuse mental or physical.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Agree

Patients who receive medical care through public medical insurance should have access to medically necessary treatment.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a stong believer that individuals are entitled to their personal spiritual and religious beliefs and protection of religion must be upheld. I also believe in the separation of church and state and no religion or religious beliefs should be imposed on others in this county.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Neutral

Some proof of identity can be allowed but that identification should be expanded to make sure an individuals right to vote is not infringed upon or violated.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Agree

Protection of individuals right to vote should take priority over land ownership.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a threat to human rights.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
