To me, “separation of church and state” means the government should not establish or control a national religion, and individuals must remain free to practice their faith without government interference. The principle is rooted in protecting religious liberty — not removing faith or religious expression from public life. I do not believe the Constitution requires government hostility toward religion or demands that people of faith remain silent in the public square.

I strongly support religious liberty and every American’s right to peacefully practice their faith. However, religious freedom does not mean any religious doctrine, whether Islamic or Christian.

I believe the Second Amendment is clear: law-abiding Americans have the constitutional right to keep and bear arms for self-defense, protection of their families, and defense of liberty. Public safety should focus on criminal misuse of firearms, not on punishing responsible gun owners.
