QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

There is no question that abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments. This is because abortion is morally wrong and should not be funded by taxpayers.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Agree

I believe this should solely be an individual and family choice, not the government. Some people support the idea of laws that legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia, arguing that it is a personal choice that should be available to those who want it. Others believe that assisted suicide and euthanasia are morally wrong and should not be legal. It is important to remember that there are both pros and cons to this issue and no right or wrong answer.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Never; In the event of danger to the mother, it's not abortion; it turns into a rescue surgery. By their Hippocratic Oath, the doctor is required to either save the baby or the mother or both. In cases of rape or incest, Why is it right to kill the baby when the offender is set free? The family and their God should make a prayerful decision in those cases. Moreover, I would hope that the family will put the baby up for adoption in a loving home if it is too difficult to raise the child because of the circumstances.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

There are several reasons why the redistribution of income is a terrible idea: It can create a cycle of poverty where people cannot improve their situations because they are constantly reliant on government assistance. It can decrease economic growth and innovation, as people are less likely to work hard and invest in their businesses if they know their incomes will be taken away.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the best way to reduce the national debt may vary depending on the specific circumstances. However, one option for reducing the national debt would be for the government to cut spending to reduce its budget deficit.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Tax simplification is key to making fewer distinctions across economic activities and taxpayers' characteristics. This would reduce compliance costs and allow for simpler administration of businesses into small, medium, and large, with separate rules for each. Eliminate most deductions and credits. Move to a territorial system that taxes only domestic income. Eliminate the income tax on dividends received from US companies.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees that all individuals have the right to exercise their religion freely. This right is also known as the Freedom of Religion. The amendment prohibits the government from making any law that establishes a state religion or inhibits the free exercise of religion. I will continue to protect this freedom in congress as I did in the United States Military.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Requiring individuals and businesses to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs is not legally ethical.

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

The relationship between the church and the state should be one of mutual respect and cooperation. The church should offer moral guidance to the state, and the state should provide protection for the church and its members.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None whatsoever. There is no inherent right for the government, school, or employer to require vaccinations.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

Israel should not withdraw from occupied territories, withdraw from occupied territories, or remove the separation barrier in the West Bank. A separation barrier is an important tool for preventing terrorist attacks, and it should remain in place. The occupation of the West Bank is also necessary for Israel’s security and should continue.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is the largest and most influential political party in China. The CCP governs all aspects of Chinese society and, as such, poses a serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threat to the United States.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Our effort should be accompanied by a preventive strategy that is as much, or more, political as it is military. The strategy must focus clearly on the Arab and Muslim world, in all its variety. The strategy should also include defenses. America can be attacked in many ways and has many vulnerabilities. No defenses are perfect. But risks must be calculated; hard choices must be made about allocating resources. Responsibilities for America's defense should be clearly defined. Planning does make a difference; identifying where a little money might have a large effect. Defenses also complicate attackers' plans, increasing their risks of discovery and failure. Finally, the nation must prepare to deal with attacks that are not stopped. The U.S. government, joined by other governments worldwide, is working through intelligence, law enforcement, military, financial, and diplomatic channels to identify, disrupt, capture, or kill individual terrorists. The United States is also working to improve international cooperation in the sharing of information and the prevention of terrorist travel. The United States is also taking steps to improve the defenses of critical infrastructure, including nuclear and chemical plants, as well as the nation's computer systems. The U.S. also is working to create a global counterterrorism infrastructure that will allow for the sharing of information and the coordination of actions to stop terrorist attacks.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The Department of Homeland Security should increase its efforts to secure the southern border. This includes increasing the number of agents patrolling the border, building more fences and walls, and deploying more technology such as surveillance cameras and sensors.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

States should not receive federal funds however, it would also depend on the specific state laws in question and on the nature and scope of the federal funds in question. Some states may be in technical compliance with immigration laws but still, be deemed ineligible for certain federal funds due to the manner in which those laws are enforced or the population they target.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Only legal immigrants who want to come to the United States and abide by the laws should be allowed to immigrate.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

There is no good reason to protect sexual orientation and gender identity as classes in non-discrimination laws. First, there is no evidence that people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ) are experiencing systematic discrimination in the United States. Second protecting LGBTQ people as a protected class could result in unintended consequences, such as businesses refusing to hire or serve people who identify as LGBTQ.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Critical Race Theory is not necessary, as the United States has laws and regulations that prohibit discrimination and racism.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

It is my belief that we are in a spiritual war in our country. If we do not put God first in everything we do our country will be lost. We need to pray for our country and its leaders. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness., that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

People should not There are a few reasons why people should not be able to vote without photo identification. One reason is that it could potentially be fraudulent. People could vote under someone else's name if they do not have to show identification. Another reason is that it could be easier for people to vote multiple times if they do not have to show identification. This could potentially impact the results of an election.be able to vote without photo identification.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Elections are a state function; as a U.S Congressman, I would stop HR1 from becoming federal law. As a state Arizona state representative, I have proposed such legislation as one day, one vote, no machines, and hand counts. Decreasing the size of precincts, placing new restrictions on ballot drop boxes, and adding new ID requirements for mail voting. Make voters request mail-in ballots regularly. Shortening the mail voting window, adding new ID requirements for mail voting, restricting ballot drop boxes, placing cameras on drop boxes, Place restrictions on third-party ballot returns. Increase the penalties for election fraud from a simple misdemeanor to a class 4 felony with mandatory prison time. Conduct random statewide audits before and after each election, and clean voter rolls twice a year.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not; it's a ridiculous idea, and the federal government is already spending too much taxpayer money. Reparations should not be given to people based on race or any reason at all. Not just because it's just simply wrong, but because this would create further separation and division within our society. Additionally, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to determine who is eligible for reparations and who is not.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Domestic terrorism is not a new threat in the United States, yet it is a threat Americans have endured too often in recent years. Racism and discrimination in small communities can undermine a country’s ability to defend itself during conflicts, creating a national security risk. The government, bureaucracy, and social apparatus may not work well because of discrimination; moreover, we must accept that foreign powers seize upon these divisions because they are real. After all, racism remains the United States’ Achilles’ heel. It has always been a national security vulnerability — a fundamental and easily exploitable reality of American life that belies the image and narrative of equality and justice we project and export around the world.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources. The process of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, uses water, sand, and chemicals to break apart shale rocks and release oil and gas. Some people have concerns about the environmental effects of fracking, but I believe that the benefits of this technology outweigh the risks. The use of hydraulic fracturing has led to a dramatic increase in oil and gas production in the United States.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. A healthy economy is necessary for a healthy environment. Environmental laws and regulations create jobs in the natural energy sector and help to reduce air and water pollution. They also make our businesses more competitive in the global marketplace. The creation of environmental regulations has always been a balancing act. Too little regulation can lead to widespread pollution and public health concerns, while too much regulation can stifle economic growth. Finding the right balance is essential to protecting our environment and our economy.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am a combat veteran who served in the United States Army for nearly 22 years as a Front Line Tank Commander, Infantry and Armor Platoon Sergeant, Tank Company Master Gunner, and an interim Battalion Sergeant major. I earned the Bronze Star medal for combat action in Iraq as well as a Meritorious Service Medal for twenty years of faithful, active duty service. I retired honorably from the United States Army in 2016. I served seven tours of duty in some of the most dangerous battlefields on Earth, including Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq, where I fought in the Second Battle of Fallujah, the bloodiest battle in the Iraq War. Upon completion of active duty, I moved to Snowflake, Arizona, with my wife and children. My desire to serve his country continued, and with the support of my family, I ran for the Arizona State Legislature. I won a contentious primary election in 2018 and went on to win the general election. I repeated this victory in 2020. As a state representative, I have been one of the most effective legislators at the Arizona Capitol. I have a proven ability to find solutions for the complex issues Arizona is faced with today. My commitment to the people of Arizona comes from my love for our country and my love of Arizona. The border issue is both a humanitarian crisis and a security threat. We must secure our border and solve this growing crisis. We need to improve and expand access to care for our veterans and ensure they have the resources they need. Our criminal justice system should keep us safe, treat people fairly and respectfully, and be able to change over time. The United States needs to stand firm against China. China is now a rogue state and a clear and present danger. The 2nd Amendment protects the liberty to carry firearms outside the home for self-defense or other lawful purposes. Put, under the constitution, I have a right to bear arms. I also believe that people should be responsible for their firearms. When you chip away at the 2nd Amendment, it chips away at America’s most basic rights. Life starts at conception, and we must protect it at all costs. I am committed to preserving and protecting the integrity of the United States and the election process.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

Officers are being killed, assaulted, and falsely accused at an alarming rate. In order to ensure that our communities are protected, we need to make sure that our officers are immune from these types of attacks. They should only be prosecuted if they are not consistent with the departmental policies.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

We need to increase and develop new mental health programs while also increasing funding for our police.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We need more mental health there is no question that the United States needs more mental health programs. However, it is important to remember that the Second Amendment protects the right of Americans to keep and bear arms. Therefore, any mental health programs that are created should not infringe on this right. programs while keeping our 2nd amendment rights.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Gun manufacturers are not responsible for random acts of violence committed with their products. However, Suppose a gun manufacturer knows or believes that a gun will be used in a crime. In that case, They have a responsibility not to sell that gun to a person, and they should notify the proper authorities of the person's intent to commit a violent crime.
