OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

To save the life of the mother.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

For generations of people in or near retirement, we must ensure the solemn promise of Social Security is kept by guaranteeing funds to protect benefits and cost of living adjustments. We also need to be developing options for younger workers to divert a portion of their paychecks to individual retirement accounts so they are better able to save for their futures. Social Security will remain a principle safety net, however, our long-term goal should be to have more people controlling their own retirement savings independent from the government.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

By getting rid of more regulations we can cut spending and personnel from government agencies. We need to also look at cutting spending on programs that could legitimately be handled by the private sector.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Taxpayers should not be paying off student loan debt but we should be creating new ways for employers to help contribute to education savings or debt retirement accounts so they are part of the student loan debt solution.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

There is no federalized religion.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

We need to reverse the trend caused by Obamacare of fewer private sector options for healthcare coverage. This can be done by passing Associated Healthcare Plans that allow individuals and small businesses to band together so they can negotiate for health coverage in the same way that corporations and labor union are able. This will allow for more comprehensive and affordable coverage because we are creating competition in the marketplace. We should also allow the expansion of health savings accounts and allow people to buy insurance across state lines.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We should be working with other countries, state and local law enforcement, our intelligence agencies, and military to identify, apprehend, and destroy terrorist cells. We should also be upfront to call out radical Islamic terrorism rather than deny it exists.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I support the President's view of merit-based immigration. We are a nation that welcomes legal immigrants but they must do so through our system.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Through Him we derive our strength, our purpose, and our devotion to all of mankind.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Twelve year voting history on the Irving City Council and as Mayor. This will show how I stood against government corruption, waste, abuse of taxpayer dollars, and overreach by a government entity.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I’m running for Congress because I know the people of the 24th District deserve to have a strong, principled voice in Congress. I’ve been asked what prompted me to run for public office; the answer is simple - my children. We live in a very fragile time for our nation, our families, and the future of the American Dream. Socialism is on the rise, our border crisis has never been worse, and we face constant threats from hostile nations willing to use cyber-attacks, nuclear weapons, and terrorist jihad. When I think about my two children, I want them to have the same opportunities in life that I did; I want them to be able to grow up safe and proud of our country.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We need to stop criminals from having guns. There needs to be more dedication from prosecutors to actually put criminals away for the crimes they are committing.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Cutting federal regulations so individuals and businesses have more freedom to create their own opportunities. National and border security so we are cracking down on drug cartels and human traffickers. Expansion of health care options so the private sector can offer more effective solutions than government run healthcare.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Prejudice against others exists in many forms. When that prejudice develops into organized and violent acts, yes, that is a domestic security threat.
