Probably under no circumstances should abortion be allowed. But there may be some surgical reason that I am unaware that the fertilized egg might not survive otherwise and the mother's life is in jeopardy if the "pregnancy" is continued.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Our "social programs" should be designed to provide a safety net for the most vulnerable in our society. However, we have created programs that provide so many benefits that there are incentives built into the system as we have it now that people are encouraged not to work. We should take a fresh look at all "social programs" and build them to have incentives for people to provide for themselves rather than depend on tax payer funding.

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

The state should not legislate a requirement of a particular sect of religious expression. It should freely encourage religious pursuits without coercion. People should be allowed to express their religious believes without fear.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
We need to promote ways to get 3rd parties out of the equation. i.e. government and insurance. The decisions about healthcare should be between the Doctor and the Patient. Most certainly we should have high deductible insurance for catastrophic situations. But we should have Health Savings accounts that are promoted at every level of the economy that belong to individuals who will administer their resources in the best way possible for their circumstances.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

People who chose to follow our lawful immigration policy should be allowed to immigrate. Law breakers should not be allowed. However, our country has every right to define who shall be allowed to immigrate. The proposal of merit immigration seems to have some degree of legitimacy.

I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose from the dead. I believe God is love and He wants to bless everyone. However, He gives everyone a choice to live in His presence with Him or chose to define good and evil on your own terms and not live in His presence with Him. I value the Hebrew Bible with the New Testament as God's word which is worthy of reading and studying to understand the world we live in and God's relationship to that world. I believe that "religion" per se should not be legislated. In other words, the government should not legislate a particular sect or brand of faith. However, as John Adams said, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." That being said, the Bible should be taught in our schools as a basis to understand what our founders sought to create in the United States of America. Further, I should use that Bible to help me understand principles of Righteousness & Justice.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I have taken many of the Hillsdale College Courses as well as other public policy educational opportunities. I have been a business owner. I have been involved in education both at the public, private and home school level. I have studied and continue to study many aspects of our society, through written and other sources including the Bible. I have observed through my various church ministries and public life the nature of human beings. This gives guidance toward public policy.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I do not have all the answers. I am willing and want to hear from all citizens to make the most informed decisions that I can make on public policy. I will commit to you that I will continue to study and learn what might be the best route to follow on any particular government action. That being said, I have a bent toward less government intrusion into the lives of citizens and a propensity to facilitate economic freedom and opportunity for all citizens without the government picking winners and losers.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Law abiding citizens should not have restrictions. Violent criminals should be prohibited from possessing guns for a significant period after being convicted for the crime. However, after a significant period in society after serving time, consideration should be given toward allowing for ownership again.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The way the left is portraying all of America as racists is misrepresenting out country and dividing us. Certainly there are people who define others by the color of their skin. But there are people of all complexions who chose to define others by their complexion. However, I find that our country may be less racist than ever before. In 1960, 60% of Americans said they would never vote for a black president. Almost 50 years latter in 2008, we elected the first black president, and 4 years latter reelected him. Interracial marriage was illegal in several states until 1967, and in 1958 Gallop Poll found only 4% of Americans approved of black/white marriages. In 2016 87% approved of Black/White marriages. Our country is not perfect and people are not perfect but racism as a systemic issue is less than it was in the past and I believe may even get better over time in our country.
