16. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

Man, although created in the image of God; fell from that position when he sinned. This caused not only separation from God but the desire to worship something other than God. The Founders were well aware of this principle and knew that given too much control, sinners become intoxicated with power and seek to build their own "kingdoms."

17. The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Strongly Disagree

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God; Voters, Constitution, Congress, Supreme Court Because voters are given the right to change the constitution through a process.

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

The world is not the way God intended it to be. Everyone knows something is just not right; whether in our relationships or just deep down inside. After placing man in a perfect environment, man chose to disobey God and was separated from Him. God, not willing to allow that relationship to remain broken, sent His Son to pay sin's penalty price on the cross. I share the belief of our Founders that our rights come from our Creator and that all people, regardless of their beliefs, should be equal before the law. The Founder's principles have generated the greatest period of freedom and liberty in history. As we move further away from those principles we become enslaved to the government.
