In my view the brilliance of our Founding Fathers is most notable in this regard. Fearing a tyrannical government, they took the steps necessary to forever preserve our individual freedoms and liberty by carefully defining and separating the powers of government within each branch while recognizing our fundamental reliance on GOD.

I have been endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB). I have been told by the NC State Chamber of Commerce to expect it's endorsement next week. Endorsed by the NRA

I hold a BS Degree in Business Administation from Upper Iowa University and an Associates Degree in Retail Business Management from Corning Community college. I spent my working career in business primarily assisting small business owners with ways to improve their business through innovative sales and marketing programs and techniques. I was elected 3 times as Senior Warden in my church and have served on the church Vestry for almost 20 years. My wife Marie and I team taught the first and second grade of Sunday School for at least 14 years. I ran for the state House in District 2 in 2010 and garnered 46 percent of the vote in a very difficult district for a Republican candidate against a firmly entrenched incumbent Democrat.

17. What charitable, educational, religious, or political organizations have you been affiliated with as a member, contributor, or volunteer.

I am the former 3 time chairman of the Chowan County Republican Party. I wrote a conservative political newspaper column that appeared in many newspapers, giving it up to run for office. I am a member of the NC Christian Action League I am serving my 4th term as president of Edenton Emergency Aid, a not for profit organization that assists the poorest citizens of our county in need of help with utility bills, etc. I serve on the transportation committee of our parish assisting the elderly and infirmed with their transportation needs. I am a volunteer with the Edenton Historical Commission. I am a book buddy at DF Walker Elementary School helping children learn to read better.
