QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
God values human life. So should we. I'm against abortion, period.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Strongly Agree
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Unleash free enterprise. Cut taxes. Eliminate unnecessary regulations. Terminate unfavorable trade treaties that create huge deficits and ship our jobs and factories overseas and across our borders. Encourage Private Sector Job Training.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Reduce taxes and unnecessary red tape and regulations on businesses that are lawfully operating in free enterprise.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
End unconstitutional requirement that forces citizens to purchase health insurance. End FDA's arbitrary and unjust persecution of holistic and naturopathic medicine. Support private sector constitutional right to prepare, market and take nutritional supplements. Drive down medicine prices by: ending long term drug company monopolies on specific drugs; allowing use of natural supplements; allowing the federal government to obtain volume discounts in the purchase of Medicare/Medicaid drugs; allowing purchase of medicine from other countries. When drug prices go down, health insurance rates should drop. End ERISA requirements which: allow Health Insurers to be the Judges and Jurors on whether they must pay medical bills; require physicians to employ substantial staff, not just in provision of medical care, but in fighting to get payment for medical services; force Patients to federal court to contest denial of medical treatment.
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Agree
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
EDUCATION
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.
Strongly Agree
The LGBTQ+ political agenda poses a threat to First Amendment freedoms of speech, expression and religious exercise.
Strongly Agree
I support expanding protections in employment and accommodations based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Strongly Disagree
If children are given instruction in sex education in public schools, it should not express a preference for abstinence but should be comprehensive, offering discussions on various types of sexual orientations and behaviors plus all types of contraceptives.
Strongly Disagree
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Men can be greedy, violent, covetous, disrespectful of others' rights. If immoral persons with these flaws are in government, government could be used as an instrumentality of theft, coercion, tyranny and even murder. Government must be limited by Constitutional law; the powers of each branch of government must be constrained by the powers of other branches; the rights of individuals must be protected against Governmental abuses.I agree that Ours is a government of laws, and not of men
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that "Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life; No one comes to the Father but by Him." He is "the Resurrection and the Life." I believe, that a Just Society, that values and protects the sanctity of the life of the individual, and individual freedoms, is ultimately based upon Bible Principles. I believe that "Blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord." When we turn our back on God, we are bereft of His Blessings. I believe that whatsoever we do for the Least, we do unto Christ. That God honors not the public speeches or professions of righteousness, but the sacrifices made in private in consoling, comforting, caring for the abandoned, the homeless, the prisoner, the elderly, the sick, rejected children, forgotten Nursing Home patients.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
My wife and I represented working families over 30 years in our family-owned practise. Our focus is representing working people, not big government or conglomerates. God has allowed us to use our law practice to do thousands of hours of pro bono law work for working families. We legally opposed a strip club in downtown Shreveport. We used our legal training to free an airman wrongly convicted of a murder he did not commit. I filed suit seeking a declaratory judgment that the current State Superintendent of Education is illegally in Office, because he did not obtain the required Senate reconfirmation to serve a 2nd term. This Superintendent helped force Common Core on Louisiana families; pushed violent and inappropriate curriculum on young students; presided over a decrease in academic performance; ignored teachers; penalized schools for disciplining dangerous students, even though Louisiana has some of the unsafest schools in America.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Over the last three and one-half years, through the Grace of God, and with the prayers and support of the people of District 38, we did what we said we would do. We fought abortion; helped enact some of the strongest anti-abortion laws in America; opposed taxes on working families; worked to get rid of Common Core. We also took the position that if teenagers are big enough to do violent crimes, they're big enough to do the time. Every citizen deserves to live in a safe neighborhood. We honored the values that unite our District: Faith, Family and Hard Work. We worked to give a voice to working families, church folks, ordinary citizens-- the people of Louisiana-- who are too often ignored by special interests, bureaucrats and power brokers.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support the death penalty.
Agree
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.
Strongly Disagree
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
Gambling should be limited to existing forms and should not be de-regulated or expanded.
Strongly Agree
