Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
The health care industry should be encouraged to self regulate and not perform abortions on fetuses that can sustain life outside the womb. That being said, Government should not fund abortion. Nor should Government prohibit abortion. Government prohibition does not work and never will. The result would likely be a war on women. While I understand there are good faith arguments on both sides of this debate, as well as arguments that certain kinds of abortions should be illegal, prohibition of all abortion is a slippery slope that we should not go down.

Drastically reduce and eliminate taxation. Drastically reduce and eliminate regulation. Open up free trade with the rest of the world and eliminate tariffs (which only hurt US consumers, employers and employees). Eliminate barriers to free markets, and allow them to thrive.

Once again, remove government regulation and oversight from the health care industry. Government is the reason health care costs are so high. People do not have a right to health care. People have a right to the health care they can access and afford. Decrease government's intrusion into this industry, and the free market will respond positively.

I do not view the spectrum as single x-axis with conservatism on one end and liberalism on the other. Instead, I view the political spectrum on both x and y axes. One axis has conservatism and liberalism at its ends while the other has statism/authoritarianism on one end with libertarianism at the other. I would be on the libertarianism end of the spectrum. Maximum freedom and the absolute minimum government. In simple terms, individuals should be free to live their lives without the interference of government. As long as an individual does not threaten the life, liberty or property of another, they should be free to do as they choose. They must also be accountable for their actions and any subsequent consequences. Your questionnaire should reflect this rapidly growing ideology instead of the old tired "left vs.right" paradigm.

I have held positions in leadership in the United States Navy and with my current employer for 30+ years. I have managed local business units that included profit,loss and budget performance. I've led customer service efforts, negotiated and settled disputes, and acted as an account manager to very large and important customer. Those experiences will make it easy for me to follow these three guidelines: 1. Never vote to increase or create new taxes. 2. Never vote to increase the size, scope, or role of government. 3. Never vote to increase government spending.
