None. The Texas Bill of Rights, Article I, Sections 6 and 6-a (enacted in response to COVID) are very clear. Article I, Sec. 29 of the Texas Bill of Rights says, "we declare that every thing in this "Bill of Rights" is excepted out of the general powers of government, and shall forever remain inviolate, and all laws contrary thereto, or to the following provisions, shall be void."

This was a flip-flop because he promised school choice opponents he would vote against school choice until his handlers told him to switch. While I might vote against a bill that is too pork laden or with too many strings attached on private and homeschools, in general I believe that competition produces superior results.

The Second Amendment and Art, 1, Sec 26 were not written to protect public safety. They were written to protect liberty. If we protect liberty, we will have more stability and more public safety. If we focus on the tools used for self-defense as a threat to public safety, we will lose both liberty AND safety.
