QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe the Supreme Court should reconsider their ruling on Roe v. Wade, and strongly consider the compelling scientific evidence that a fetus is objectively and biologically a living human. While I believe it is understandable why a majority of Americans believe that abortion should be legal in the case of rape (particularly in regard to minors), I would like to see our country work diligently to provide an abundance of support and encouragement for all girls and women experiencing pregnancy, especially those who have suffered the horrors of sexual assault and those struggling with fear who feel unable to manage the burden of carrying their baby to term.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Most all of it. WA State’s government, in particular, has reached in to so many areas, that if taxpayers were aware of everything tax dollars are being spent on, and the vast amount being spent, they would likely be shocked. From how revenue is spent on poorly conceived solutions to homelessness, to designating a BILLION dollars to save Orcas, WA’s budget is overdue for an audit done with critical eyes.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Neutral

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state means that the government should not interfere in the affairs of the church...ANY church. It is mean to exemplify the free-exercise clause of the 1st amendment. It can also be applied conversely, in protecting Americans from any government entity establishing any particular belief system as “approved”, but this is often misconstrued as the separation of the state for God altogether. While it is important for the government to refrain from establishing any religion as approved, it is equally important for the government to refrain from restricting the free-exercise of religious beliefs to the extent that the effectually establish atheism as the “approved” belief system.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Deregulate it and allow charitable organizations to step in for those who are truly destitute and in need. Healthcare used to be cheap...maybe $30/month for a young, healthy, single man. Bureaucracy has destroyed affordable healthcare, adding on mandated services and pushing out competition. If there is a demand for simple, cheap catastrophic healthcare, allow heath care coverage providers to meet that demand.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Neutral

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration should be simple, cheap, and fast. Background check. Health check. Motivation check. Done. Anyone should be allowed to immigrate to the US so long as they are able to pass these checks.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Neutral

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a conservative Christian. I believe that Jesus is the savior of all who believe in him, that the Bible is historically reliable and trustworthy, and worthy to be considered the word of God, and that we, as Christians, have an obligation to speak truth, saturated in grace and love, to our neighbors.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

No Answer

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

While I am very conservative in my personal beliefs, I am also a strong advocate of small government. I heartily support the right of each community to set as much of their own policy as possible, and to set that policy in confluence with the moral values of their community’s majority (providing basic, constitutionally protected rights are still guarded over). So while I would want my community to set laws that exemplify conservative values, if the neighboring community was more liberal, I would also want that community to have laws in place that honor and respect THEIR values.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I’ve spent all of my adult life servicing and advocating for others. As a mom, a wife, a teacher, and a volunteer, ministering to my community is second nature. I am comfortable taking on leadership roles, and when this is combined with my hear for serving others, it sets me up as a representative whose priority is properly focused on those who need representation.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

America is ready to heal. We have been battered for almost a decade now with inflammatory accusations of racism, sexism, homophobia, and xenophobia, etc. simply for disagreeing on policy. The more our government controls, the more divided we get over politics, because the next election could put our own liberty and livelihood at risk. If we want to heal, we must reduce the size and scope of government so each community can live and work according to conscience, wether their values are similar to their neighboring community, or vastly different. We have the potential to truly achieve greatness...if we are courageous enough to be the change.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No Answer

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

While there may be instances where a judge would rightly restrict the right to keep and bear arms for someone who has committed a violent crime, because the right to defend oneself is personal and private, I prefer as few restrictions on firearms ownership as possible. The mere understanding that anyone can stop a threat to their life or their family, is a significant deterrent to crime, particularly in the public sphere.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

My priorities for the WA State legislature are to reduce the size and scope of government authority and reach so that the people of Washington return to their proper place as the priority of legislative changes. I believe this is best done by 1. Aggressive deregulation (especially in regard to the Growth Management Act, Housing restrictions, Education, and healthcare). 2. Increasing restrictions on pay-to-play relationships (particularly in regard to unions, corporations and lobbyists and legislation sponsored by politicians that received campaign donations from entities that directly benefit from said legislation). 3. Tax relief, budget transparency, and fiscal responsibility. WA residents are being extorted, and there is so little in the way of checks and balances and transparency, taxpayers likely have no idea how badly they’re being fleeced.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

While there continue to be instances of racism in America, and we continue to see significant disparities between different races, I have not seen evidence that systemic or institutional racism still exist in the United States. As a country, we need to diligently continue to hold people accountable for racist behavior, and to look for ways that we can better understand WHY disparities exist between races so we do not overlook instances of discrimination. But I do not think that racism is a threat to US security at this time.
