QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
To save the life and health of the mother. I am a proud supporter of The Life At Conception Act. I have become even more firm on that as I have prayed for further guidance and looked deep in my own soul about it. There is help for mothers in other situations where she might feel abortion necessary and it is up to us to offer and provide for that help.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Even though it has passed the black robe test, Social Security is actually Unconstitutional. The only way to secure it is to first write and ratify a Constitutional Amendment to support it and spell out in that Amendment certain measures: 1. Separate Social Security from the General Fund, an absolute must. 2. It's disability division should be designed to encourage training and retraining with anyone able to be trained for a marketable skill according to that disability and in their area, those options are available but rarely used. 3. it's retirement division may also need some adjustments because some people start having age related health issues earlier than others. I am certain other formulas can be added or adjusted to secure it but in any of those cases, I would seek to work with the administrators and accountants before fully crafting that Amendment. On a personal note, I am not a fan of Social Security but as I have said on my campaign, I am asking to be your employee.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
There isn't enough room in this box but I would use resources like the Heritage Foundation, Americans for Prosperity, Citizens Against Government Waste and many others starting with parts of Government directly under the supervision of the committees I serve on and expanding from there. These public tools have been available to politicians for over twenty years but they always find excuses not to do anything about it, we must elect people like me that will do the work.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
We shouldn't. There may be some need to correct the practice of higher education facilities of promoting unmarketable degrees but loans are still a contract willingly entered into by the students and the lenders. There are also some market ideas being worked on in Congress to make it a shared responsibility of the education providers and the students to find marketable work in the fields of study, which may have some promise but taxpayers should not be on the hook.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Primarily it is to prevent leaders from claiming a Divine Right to rule such as many old-world monarchies use and to prevent the creation of a State sponsored religion, tying Government and Faith together which often leads to tyrannical control over the people. It is also to allow people to come to spiritual and philosophical truths in their own way. It is not to prevent our public officials from expressing their own faith nor to eliminate expressions of faith from the public eye as many non-Christians wish to use it for. Besides the exact words in the Constitution are "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;..." The words "separation of church and state" come from a letter from Thomas Jefferson to a Baptist Church in Connecticut. I have tried to minimize my faith in the past because I often feel politicians use religion for votes, the very definition of taking the Lord's name in vain.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
With a proper application of Article 1, Section 8 "To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations and among the several States," Congress is empowered to remove State barriers to providers as well as use the prohibition of States to enact laws imparing the obligation of contracts which, in effect, an insurance policy is. Congress, within the power of contract law may and should require that policies list causes for exclusion and dismissal of obligations as well as require that providers ensure that those provisions are explained and acknowledged by the policy holder. Doing this properly will allow providers to accurately assess the risks and costs of their obligations and allow consumers the full ability to choose what coverage they may seek. I also believe that many Government distortions of the market in medicine and insurance need to be re-examined with lessons from the effects they have already caused.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
An all-in approach is the only way to deal with this threat to civilized society. The Quran has a dictate that all non-believers must either be converted, enslaved or killed in the name of Allah and perceives it just fine to reach that end with dishonesty. We, as a republic must remain vigilant and maintain alliances around the world, as we have been trying to do, to combat this threat but we must also embrace and foster the movement of modernized Muslims that really do wish to reform their faith away from such fundamentally evil principles. We as Christians grew past the Crusades, we need to embrace those of other religions that want to do the same.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Temporary and skilled workers that offer a positive economic benefits. People of means and skill as such to be able to support themselves and any family members they wish to bring. There is some room for refugees and others but we are the most desirable destination and should be selective accordingly. In our refugee system, we must stop discriminating against Christian refugees in favor of other religions, Christian persecution is a real threat in much of the world and should be cared for too.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a non-denominational Christian. I have explored wisdom and knowledge with origins in Native American and Pre-Christian Europe for the sake of that wisdom and knowledge. I do read something from the KJV Holy Bible every day and pray that I always serve God's will in everything I do. I do believe that some of God's word is allegorical but even in that, the essence of that word is true. I believe the discrepancies between scientific knowledge and the history written in Genesis have more to do with what God and His servants needed us to understand according to the time it was written, not out of disbelief but out of the belief that God, as an eternal and omniscient force has a much bigger perspective than we as humans can ever have both then and now. I have tried to explain my exploration of those other spiritual paths because they teach a connection to nature and ways to use what God has provided for us but loooking back my Christian foundation may not have been well described.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
The best place to see a long history of my Conservative views is my personal profile on Facebook, you can easily reach it through the group linked to by this candidate profile here. You will also see some Libertarian leanings but that has to do with the Constitution. There are some social issues that I believe the Federal Government has no place in without a Constitutional Amendment to support that place, such as "LGBTQ+" issues but that is because in governing, I believe the Constitution is the law for our lawmakers. In that case, I do see their lifestyles as a Sin but as the 1st Amendment dictates, it is not the Federal Government's place to enforce those beliefs on the United States of America no matter how strongly I may feel about them. It is the Federal Government's duty to treat them as equal under the law. The reason I chose neutral on #15 is because many "equal protection laws" are anything but and actually make it nearly impossible to deal with genuine problems.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am a real blue collar candidate and a Christian, Constitutional Conservative that is prepared to fight for what that really means. You can call me directly at (615) 869-8658 and if you prefer to text me, you can do so at (615) 713-8448. Even if we disagree, I will happily have a conversation with you and be respectful. I only ask that if you get my voicemail, please leave one if you want me to call you back, I am still working as a truck driver and you may get it for safety reasons. I also do my own social media on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube so you can talk to me directly there as well. The way I see it, I am asking you to hire me for tge office with your vote, you have every Right to interview me for the job. God bless.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
There are too many restrictions already. Some measures are for genuine public safety but most really only prevent law abiding people from defending themselves against violent crimes or are disguised as safety but really steps leading toward Unconstitutional confiscation.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Neutral
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1. To begin restoration of Constitutionally protected Rights and the ability of many Government agencies to intrude upon and violate them, religion, speech, arms, privacy as well as State and individual Sovereignty. 2. Start a multiple step process of eliminating wasteful, redundant spending in order to get the budget balanced and under control, this involves removing the systemic ability to prevent cutting spending, zero based budgeting, streamlining or eliminating agencies and reducing protections against layoffs and disciplinary termination. 3. Securing the border and shoring up the strength of our immigration and VISA system.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Somewhat but more because people in politics, activism and the media use it as a weapon to keep us divided as a society. While some racism does exist, it is not nearly as prominent as the people who make money off of it want us to believe. I don't deny that it exists and is inherently both evil and ignorant but as a society, we the people really are working to eliminate it. There are still some pockets of it remaining in law and regulatory practice that need to be eliminated and I will happily work with various groups to do so. The anger from the perception created by those that profit from racism does need to be healed and that is going to take a plan that can not be denied by the media.
