Ensure the solvency of the program by eliminating debits from the account that are not directly related to paying an individual benefits. The federal government has a fiduciary responsibility to ensure the benefits that millions of Americans have paid into are available at the time when they will need them most.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
The Constitution is very clear of the responsibilities of the federal government and we have seen for decades the growth and over-reach of such. Cut out non-essential government programs and frivolous spending. Shrink the size of government and prioritize expenditures. We should also incentivize saving taxpayer money by providing bonuses to federal employees who identify waste and fraud in the government.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
I don't believe taxpayers should be held liable for such loans. Students destined for college have an understanding of the costs and benefits associated with furthering their educations. This is an individual decision, and with that, comes the responsibility of paying according to the agreed upon terms.

This means that the state is not permitted to dictate to any religion how they are permitted to worship and express their faith. Nor can their be an "official" or "state-sponsored" religion. It does NOT mean that people of faith are not permitted to participate in and influence our system of government.

I would advocate for a free-market system. Allowing for individuals, businesses and families to have choices in policies and premiums that are more conducive to their individual needs. When we allow a free-market system to grow and compete, we give the consumer more choices with affordable premiums. Government run health care has proven to be ineffective, expensive and unrealistic.
NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
Continue what we have done under this current Administration; Building strong alliances with our allies that face the threat of Islamic terrorism, continue negotiations and peace-keeping efforts, bolster our military forces to protect the health and safety of the American people, and our allies both here and abroad. Under President Trump's leadership, the US military successfully executed a flawless precision strike that killed the number one terrorist, Qasem Soleimani. He is also responsible for the elimination of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS. These are the steps we must take to eradicate such a threat.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

I grew up in a Christian home and my relationship with God has given me the ability to develop a moral compass and convictions that have provided me the strength, knowledge and courage to live unashamedly for God. Whether making personal decisions or casting a vote that will impact other people's lives, I am grateful that each decision is given prayerful consideration and in a context that is morally sound and biblically based. I am humbled by the platform I have been given to share my faith with others. As I have said repeatedly during this campaign, "It's time we get God back in the conversation."

As a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, I have a voting record that reflects my conservative values. While serving, I was recognized by the New Mexico Business Coalition as Hero of the Year for my work to help and protect business owners and stimulate economic development in the state of New Mexico. During my four terms, my voting record reflected my conservative approach to decision making, as I was named most Conservative Woman Legislator in the House by the Rio Grande Foundation through the indexing program their organization performs to track recorded votes. As a State Legislator, I also served as Chairman of the International Relations and Federalism Task Force for the American Legislative Exchange Council and was awarded the Thomas Jefferson Award for my leadership as the Public State Chair representing the State of New Mexico.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Born and raised in the Second Congressional District, this is my home and what happens here matters to not only me but the hardworking New Mexicans I call neighbors. Having had the opportunity to both work for and own my own businesses, I know what it's like to sign both sides of a paycheck and I have seen the struggles our District faces throughout this campaign. The stakes couldn't be higher for our State and Nation and I liken this campaign to a job interview with the people of District 2. My experience as a Pro God, Pro Life, Pro 2nd Amendment, Pro Family and Pro Business Legislator, has given me a unique and intimate understanding of this district, the industries, the communities and the people. I am ready to take your voice and your values to Washington, to stand with President Trump and keep making America great. I ask for your continued prayers for our nation and our state.

We have to protect our Christian and Family values. With that being said, first we need to protect our Ag industries from federal over-reach and special interest groups. Second, provide our Veterans the care and opportunities they deserve, including better access for PTSD and behavioral health services Behavioral health expansion to all those in need of such. Third, cut out burdensome regulations that prohibit production in our oil and gas industries help w/ low market price recovery
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Race-based conflict certainly poses occasional threats to safety in the United States. However, the state of race relations has continued to improve in our country and I believe that improvements will continue into the future under the leadership of President Trump. Race relationships will see even greater improvement if we remove identity politics and stop allowing the media and some leaders to push racial hatred among the American population.
