Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Only in consideration of cases of incest, rape, and the life of the mother.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
We need to have a well-funded and strong military that works hand-in-hand with an aggressive foreign policy that puts American interests first.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Our Founding Fathers experienced the dangers of an unchecked and out-of-control government that compromised the religious freedoms and future prosperity of the people. In order to address these concerns, our Founders placed their faith first in God and secondly in the American people.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Growing up in a Christian family instilled in me from an early age the values that I hold dear and provided me with a moral compass that I use to guide my decision making.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I recently was ranked the most conservative member of the State House of Representatives by the Rio Grande Foundation. I also have been endorsed by some of the most conservative members of the House of Representatives.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Healthcare is made affordable by providing people with options that are only available through a free-market system.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
It is not government's role to create jobs but rather it is their responsibility to create an safe and attractive environment with limited regulations and restrictions on job-creators. By doing this, more jobs will be created, the economy will continue to thrive, and the American people will continue to prosper.
What changes should be made to the tax code?
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was a very good first step in the reforms of our tax code. Yet, more needs to be done to make those reforms permanent. American families and American businesses should not spend more on their taxes than they do on their own futures.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
We must continue empowering job-creators to chase innovations in their respective fields while investing in the American workforce.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
The federal government has broken the trust of the people by spending that trust fund for things outside of the scope of Social Security. It is imperative that we find a way to keep the government from overreaching and spending the fund down further . . . privatization is one way of doing that.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
As a state representative, I have dealt with many issues facing New Mexicans first-hand. I have consistently been known as a loud and clear advocate for my constituents when it comes to ensuring that government takes into consideration their views, values, and voice. I will take that experience and that work ethic to Washington, D.C.
