18. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a conservative Christian, reared on a farm in West Texas, and saved by the grace of Jesus Christ. I chose a career as a physician because I wanted to dedicate my life to serving others while honoring the talents and abilities that God has given to me. Now, I serve as Texas State Representative for District 59 because I want to bring that same mentality of service to Austin -- to fight for the traditional values and future prosperity of my neighbors. My faith in God and love of neighbor motivate my life and my work.
