After escaping government tyranny, America’s Founders carefully defined and separated powers so that they and all future generations would have a limited and separated government of the people that would withstand the test of time.

I was raised Catholic and continue to practice that faith today. My Catholic faith is very important to me and I believe in being a servant leader and to lead by example.

I am member of the St. Joseph County Republican Party and the Elkhart County Republican Party and have hosted numerous Republican events at my facility. My Grandfather was the Republican Speaker of the House in Michigan and I grew up in a Strong Conservative Home. I have marched in the Right to Life Rally’s.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Currently we have one of the lowest unemployment rates in history in Indiana. However, when we do have unemployment there are number of ways to help. 1. Eliminate onerous regulations that impede growth. 2. Provide incentives to Businesses that educate and train workers. 3. Ensure that our schools are teaching life skills. We all need to work together to ensure that students have the resources and support to pursue a career that best matches their talents and interests. 4. Require able bodied people on assistance to work, attend school or do public service to receive assistance

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Allow carriers to cross state lines, allow the free market to compete and reduce the massive amounts of paperwork that drive the cost of healthcare up.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Government should stay out of the way of business except in the case of public, private partnerships that have been successful in creating economic growth to distressed areas.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have been a small business owner for 45 years employing thousand of employees many of them their first job. I have prepared numerous budgets, prepared all my own taxes and I have led numerous organizations on the local, state, and national level. Under my leadership we were successful in creating positive change and I have been called a consensus builder. Also, I am a former teacher, so I understand and advocate the importance of education.

As a long-time business owner and leader, I have been a mentor to many people and everyone considers me honest and trustworthy. I am a very hard worker and I will do what it takes to get the job completed the right way and be a trusted advocate for the people of my community.
