Voted no on H.R.4350, a bill which would have expanded Selective Service registration to include women.

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

We need to simplify the tax code, which involves eliminating special interest exemptions as a way to decreasing the overall tax-rate on all Americans. Every American should be able to complete their tax return on a form the size of a postcard (and/or the code should be abolished in favor of a FAIR tax, but only if the 16th Amendment were repealed).

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

Religious liberty is enshrined in the Constitution and must be protected, elected officials at every level of government must reject radical efforts to weaponize laws and government agencies like the IRS against religious groups and institutions - including unconstitutional COVID protocols and lockdowns.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

The federal government has zero authority to enforce vaccine mandates

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

I would fully repeal each and every provision and regulation from the Affordable Care Act and permanently end the federal government's involvement in health care. The best way to promote quality healthcare and health insurance is to repeal regulations that interfere with the success of the free market and provide the states with unrestricted block Medicaid grants in order to best provide healthcare for their lower socio-economic citizens.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

The United States should have a foreign policy that protects our national security and defends our allies. Where terrorism and extremism provide a direct and credible threat to either, we should respond with the full force of the United States military until this threat is eliminated. I believe Congress must reassert its Constitutional responsibility in Foreign Policy. Congress should debate and pass updated Authorizations for the Use of Military Force (AUMFs). Our nation will be stronger if we debate, vote on, and pass relevant AUMFs with clear missions, strategic objectives, and necessary time limits on the authorization to force congressional review.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

I have publicly condemned the BDS movement and members of Congress pushing their Anti-Semitic agenda. We must stand with Israel.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

China is the greatest military and economic threat to the United States today. We must aggressively orient our foreign policy, economic and military policies based on that reality, and secure our land, infrastructure, and property from CCP intrusion and espionage.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

The United States should have a foreign policy that protects our national security and defends our allies. Where terrorism and extremism provide a direct and credible threat to either, we should respond with the full force of the United States military until this threat is eliminated.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

We should complete the wall, restore interior enforcement like Border Patrol and ICE, designate Cartels Foreign Terrorist Organizations, and end catch and release policies.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We have a generous legal immigration system that is abused and manipulated to encourage false claims of asylum and human trafficking by dangerous transnational cartels. We should close all loopholes and enforce the rule of law.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior who died for my sins so that I may have everlasting life through Him.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I believe it is important that the states, not the federal government set the laws surrounding elections. I was the only member of the Texas Congressional Delegation to testify in support of election security during the last legislative session. I advocated for stronger penalties for voter fraud, reducing the early voting window, enforcing identity verification and signature matches, reducing mail-in ballot eligibility among other issues. We must fight attempts at the federal level to pass legislation like H.R. 1 that will federalize and undermine elections.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. We must reject efforts by the radical left to divide us by race and class, and live out the founding principles of this great nation.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Conservative Review recently published a scorecard where I scored a perfect 100 percent, the highest score in the Texas Delegation - House and Senate. https://libertyscore.conservativereview.com/chip-roy Before Congress, my experience includes Chief of Staff for Senator Ted Cruz, VP-Strategy for the Texas Public Policy Foundation, First Assistant Attorney General for the Texas Attorney General, Assistant United States Attorney, and Senior Advisor to Governor Rick Perry. I have been supported and endorsed by several Conservative organizations and elected officials.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I'm running to stop Joe Biden and the radical left from destroying this country. I am also running to hold Republicans accountable to their campaign promises, and follow through on a conservative agenda that includes: securing the border, restoring healthcare freedom, reducing spending and the size of the federal government, giving our men and women in uniform a clear mission, the tools to carry it out and the care they need when they get home, and getting Washington out of Texas's way.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree
