OTHER INFORMATION

Candidate Q&A. Community Impact. 21 Jan 2026.

Voted for Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act (H.R. 734, 118th Congress, 2023; reintroduced as H.R. 28 in 119th Congress, 2025). This vote indicates support for not allowing biological males in women and girls sports.

Representative sponsored H.R. 79, the WHO Withdrawal Act, which requires the President to immediately withdraw the United States from the World Health Organization (WHO) and prohibits using any federal funds to provide for U.S. participation in the WHO. The bill also repeals the 1948 act authorizing the U.S. to join the WHO.

This candidate voted for H.R. 485, the Protecting Care for All Patients Act, which would prohibit federal health programs from using discriminatory measures known as Quality-Adjusted Life Years (QALYs.)  A vote for the bill is a pro-life position that indicates opposition to reducing or eliminating care for people with various disabilities and chronic conditions.

This candidate voted against HR 8404. This vote indicates the candidate holds a position that supports traditional marriage.

Voted no on H.R.4350, a bill which would have expanded Selective Service registration to include women.

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer dollars should never subsidize abortion providers or organizations that profit from it. I have a record fighting this at every level of government including at our public universities.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Elective abortion should not be allowed, period.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Minimum wage has the reverse effect it is usually intended to have and hurts entry level workers and young Americans. I've voted against federal minimum wage mandates and do not support them.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

These are foundational to human prosperity and individual liberty. I have a long record in Congress working to end government mandates, and also combating the corporate cronyism that surrounds our Texas and US Capitol.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

AG is slightly different platform/jurisdictions - 1.) Supporting State DOGE Efforts/Public Information Requests 2.) Rooting Out Medicaid Fraud and Abuse 3.) Investigating local govs and entities that circumvent state law regarding Property Taxes

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The separation of church and state exists to protect the church from government control, but it does not mean we exclude faith from public life or force religious people to act against their beliefs.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

I've stood by medical practitioners and religious groups to defend their religious liberty throughout my career. We must have the ability to live free.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I support the continued availability of Medicaid and Medicare to those who truly need them, but I strongly oppose expansion of programs leading us down the road of socialized medicine. I'm focused on expanding Healthcare Freedom, empowering patients and doctors, not insurance bureaucrats. I authored the Healthcare Freedom Act to expand HSAs and Direct Primary Care options to give individuals more control. These reforms promote competition and lower costs.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

I was the first in Congress to introduce legislation banning land purchases by CCP affiliates in the USA

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes. America's relationship with Israel is strategically and culturally important to the United States. They are the lone Western nation in the Middle East and share our values. Our strong military relationship strengthens our ability to target terror cells and other adversaries in the region.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

I've led efforts to defund and sue Sanctuary Cities in Congress. The concept should be abolished.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Co-Sponsor Legislation.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian, and my faith shapes my worldview on why we must live free.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I introduced the SAVE Act, to REQUIRE Proof of Citizenship.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Natural Gas - but we must develop baseload nuclear. And stop subsidizing wind/solar/unreliable.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I have the most conservative voting record in the Texas Delegation in Congress.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

Protect innocent Texans, hold criminals accoutable, and uphold the rule of law consistent with our Constitutions.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

This is one of my main campaign priorities. I introduced the first legislation combatting Sharia Law in Congress with Rep. Randy Fine. Texas will not be subject to Sharia, parallel legal systems, or any foreign legal framework or influence. Texas will prosecute and investigate all forces and organizations pushing this agenda.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. Prosecute criminals.
