QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Neutral

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

The Position I am running for has nothing to do with abortion, I will not be able to make any law or affect any change. Anyone who says they can while running for Land Commission is lying. If you want to know my personal opinion, human life does not start till there is brain activity. Before that the cells are no more uniquely human than an finger, foot, or toe. Once, Brain function starts, there is a clear human soul.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

The state constitution should limit the growth of spending to the rate of population growth plus the rate of inflation.

Strongly Agree

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

Strongly Agree

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Reduce the size of the regulations. It might seem like a simple answer. But in my experience people want to create their own business face extreme barriers from starting up. When people can create their own obs it is the fastest way to reduce unemployment.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Its general role should be getting out of the way of business owners. The new modern mom and pop stores are generally online. We need to ensure that the free space that they have been able to operate in remains.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Disagree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Reduce regulation, TV's, for example, are hardly regulated and over the last couple of decades their technology has increased and their price dropped. The problem we face is we live on a planet with limited resources. I think we would like to help provide for people if possible. The barriers we face we need to learn to work together.

NATIONAL SECURITY

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.

Strongly Agree

iVoterGuide Notes:

Candidate informed iVoterGuide after the voter guide was published that he intended to answer "Strongly Disagree."

I support sanctuary cities.

Disagree

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

EDUCATION

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.

Neutral

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

Neutral

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Agree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

God gave the world to the human race, property over their own persons, and a natural right to the private possession of whatever we mix our labor with.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I'm libertarian, which means I value liberty and free will. I do believe in God and was raised Christian. Libertarianism is the natural political ideology for Christians because it promotes individual freedom. 1 Peter 2:16 reads, “As freemen, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.” Men free from the chains of government can maximize our liberties to help our fellow man through private charity and evangelism.

ABOUT YOU

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2010 General Election, 2012 General Election, 2014 General Election, 2016 General Election

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

No Answer

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I have my Masters in political science, while earning my degree I learned one clear thing. There are three viewpoints, conservative, liberal, and libertarian. Libertarians are not moderate, we believe in consent and free will. Most of the human race is naturally Libertarian. I am LIBERTARIAN.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I hold a B.A. and M.A. in political science, I am also a current member for San Antonio's Transportation board.

E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Unlike both of the two current front-runners for the Texas Land Commission, I was raised in Texas. Why would we want to give people who did not reside in our great state until they were ready to run for Public office control of our biggest historical landmarks? The Alamo doesn’t belong under the Land Commissioner’s purview. As the current GLO commissioner isn’t a native Texan, I will quickly explain that the Alamo was saved from demolition by a group of women who were descended from the founders of this great state - the Daughters of the Texas Republic. These women fought tooth and nail to purchase and restore the Alamo for all Texans. Upon making the purchase, they did not hold the Alamo privately, they gifted it to the state and made an agreement in which were eventually reimbursed the purchase cost but were given the authority to manage the Alamo. It should be returned to the effective stewardship of The Daughters of the Texas Republic.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support the death penalty.

Strongly Disagree

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.

Strongly Disagree
