Our Founders understood that mankind could be corrupted by power and thus established a system of limited powers, both in the form of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, that have allowed our nation to become the most successful, and freest, representative republic (rather than pure democracy) in the history of the world.

Tax reform: Americans spend too much time paying the government and worrying about being persecuted by the IRS. Cut Spending: Our nation will soon face a debt crisis if we do not curb our wasteful spending and enact entitlement reform. Immigration: We a nation of legal immigration and the rule of law. We should not have an unsecured southern border. Illegal immigration hurts poor Americans by lowering wages and puts a stress on our social services.

The life of the mother.

As a Christian, I believe that people are endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights and that the duty of those elected to office is the protection of those rights. Congress should work to protect the rights of the people rather than find end-arounds to take them away.
