OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

No Answer

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Strongly Agree

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Disagree

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Current regulations on domestic oil exploration and drilling are more restrictive than are necessary.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe the federal government should not be involved in determining whether or not abortion is legal - this is a state decision. I'm in favor of repealing Roe v. Wade and allowing the states to determine the law for themselves, as they do with matters like the death penalty.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The founders knew that positions of power sometimes naturally attract those with corrupt intentions, and therefore the powers of government must be limited and separated to keep each other in check. Unfortunately in recent years, power has gravitated more and more to the Executive branch in the White House, with barely any push back from Congress. We need to restore the separation of powers and allow the three branches of government to function as intended.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised Catholic by a great family and taught the value of helping others in my daily life. Although I no longer consider myself a Catholic, I do believe in a higher power and consider myself to be spiritual in my own right. I believe in separation of church and state, including getting the government out of marriage altogether.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Moderate

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

As a Libertarian, I am fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I believe in personal freedoms, and economic liberty. We need to reign in our military and stop with the foreign interventions that end up making our country less safe in the long run.

Additional comment from candidate:

Our country is facing a crossroads, this election year more than ever, where Americans have the opportunity to reject the narrative of the failed two party system, instead choosing a third party alternative. The Libertarian platform represents the best of both parties, while offering maximum freedom and limited government. Vote Libertarian with me and let's shake things up this year t send a message to the Washington establishment.
