QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Life of the mother.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
The state constitution should limit the growth of spending to the rate of population growth plus the rate of inflation.
Strongly Agree
Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.
Strongly Agree
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Reducing government regulations and keeping taxes reasonable and ensuring a predictable regulatory and legal environment will ensure that business leaders can make decision that will provide for greater overall prosperity.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
Government should encourage economic growth by limiting regulations, keeping taxes as low as possible and making sure the civil justice system provides fair outcomes and not jackpot justice.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
As it relates to Medicare and Medicaid there is substantial documented fraud, waste and abuse in the system. We need to do a better job at the state and federal level to combat this as it steal from taxpayers and harms people who need those resources for healthcare. Policymakers also need to be cautious about putting mandated coverage on companies and/or health plans. Overtime a mandate is added it adds costs for everyone in the system. At the federal level we need to allow for competition across state lines so that we can encourage competition and hopefully bring down costs.
NATIONAL SECURITY
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.
Strongly Disagree
I support sanctuary cities.
Strongly Disagree
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
EDUCATION
Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.
Strongly Disagree
People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."
Strongly Disagree
Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.
Strongly Agree
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
I believe this was defined in Federalist 51 by Alexander Hamilton when he said, "If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself."
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a life-long Christian and Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I believe in protecting the common-sense, conservative values that have made Texas great; low taxes and fair regulations that have given us the best jobs climate in America; pro-family policies that respect life; and the belief that the best government is limited, local and accountable. Western Williamson County is a special place, and I’ve been proud to call it home for over eighten years. The issues facing our state are enormous. We need to improve our education system with real reform, not just throw dollars at it. We need to focus on building more roads that move traffic and rely less on tolls. We need to continue to push back against Washington’s unfunded mandates and work with the federal government to secure the Texas border. We also need to bring property tax relief to homeowners and address the school finance system in an effort to get local school taxes under control. I ask for your prayers and your vote.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support the death penalty.
Agree
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
