In case of a threat to the mother's life.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a life-long Catholic Christian and I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. As a young person I participated in formal and family based religious education. As an adult my family and I are active members of our church. My children participate in formal religious education and my wife has served as a volunteer instructor. My largest charitable contributions are to my church. Furthermore I serve in two lay minister roles in my church. I serve as a lector reading Bible passages to the congregation and I serves as a lay minister distributing Holy Communion to the congregation. My faith is important to me.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

For two sessions I was named a Courageous Conservative by the Texas Conservative Coalition. I am A rated by the National Rifle Association and the Texas State Rifle Association. The Texas Association of Business named me a Champion of Free Enterprise for two sessions in a row. I am endorsed for reelection by the Texas Alliance For Life and Life PAC and I scored 100% on the 84th Session Texas Right to Life scorecard. I am also A rated by Americans For Prosperity. I have sponsored legislation to reduce the size of government and along with my state senator I helped pass Texas' first every E-Verify legislation.
