QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Disagree
Abortion providers should be defunded in Alaska and added life protection measures should be put in place to protect life through the stages of birth vitamins, heath consultations and check ups should be outlined and provided to ensure proper care throughout pregnancy.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness through natural death, living a full life is the goal, protecting the health of all.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Life Always, modern medicine has the discipline to save and preserve life from Conception to natural birth, as C sections and other modern miracles are here to protect and preserve life no matter the cost. Maximum Benefit for Alaskans, for life, for liberty and life for the life of the unborn.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Did not answer
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Did not answer
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
No new taxes, leave it to localities to determine tax initiatives based on the vitality of business. I don't agree with taxations without representation and where needed their should be a sunset clause and it should be done at the lowest level of government if voted on by the people.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Did not answer
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
We must not force anyone to do anything against their will. The private economy will work it out and if needed just like Disney lost its preferred status, we must allow people to make choices based on education and moral principals.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Vaccinations should not be required, we have learned from this recent pandemic the ills that can happen when you force someone to be vaccinated against his or her will. If companies want to incentivise treatment for disease then it should be a competition in the free market and we should choose how we want to treat disease based on treatment process and medication. All forms of force need to be removed and treatments should be enhanced to help people in their healthcare. Doubling down on a vaccine requirement when all options are considered, not a narrow look at vaccination as the only answer should not be the criteria used but following real science and real results as diseases evolve and weaken or change.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Private healthcare and competition for services and medicines should be the norm in our society. The only way to drive down costs are to add in competition. The more social our medical becomes the less likely the costs will be under control. We are not Europe and people are free to choose medical services or not. I feel we must reduce our dependance on Medicaid services for non essential services. Each state should decide what it is willing to cover and if you don't like your states services, you should move to another state.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
Israel needs to be able to protect it self from all its enemies, just as any sovereign country needs to protect it self. Just as Ukraine needs to protect itself, the better tools we have the better off we will be when it comes to regional conflicts. Look only to the David accord and how Trump got several groups at odds with each other to work together to protect and defend its borders. The same must be with our allies like Israel and their allies they must work from a postion of strength.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Did not answer
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
We must have a strong military, we cannot be weak and allow terrorism in roads. Swift and decisive responses are needed to preserve and deter aggression. We cannot target our own people based on an ideology. We have to know the enemy and out maneuver them to keep the threats to a minimum. We also need to use our intelligence not against our allies but those who really wish to seek us harm.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Walls work and we must provide adequate security at our southern border.
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Did not answer
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Those who have gone through the process to legally move to our country. Process have been in place that work and will continue to work based on the rule of law.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Critical race theory is a hyped up idea that creates racism where none exists. This is another failed radical agenda that most people see through. Why we are allowing this kind of stuff in the schools is beyond reality. Radical agendas do nothing but divide us from the goals we need to pursue to be a successful stable society. We must get back to basics and follow true principles in our public schools or start funding private schools that teach equality.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that god reveals to man what he needs to progress and grow individually. As a christian, god fearing, not man fearing Saint. I believe, many are called but few are chosen and in this life we must choose to follow God's plan for us. When we follow Jesus and adhere to his teachings of salvation, we will have the truth given to us line upon line and precept on precept. I follow Paul in his admonitions in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent and virtuous in doing good to all men. Believing all things, hoping for all things and enduring all things. It is through the atonement of christ we are saved after all that we can do. They will know you by your fruits.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
You need a photo for anything and voting is an important thing to protect.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Eliminate mail in voting, retain the ability to request absentee ballots with control measures to ensure a free and fair process. I would purge voter roles to make them more accurate. Requiring a valid idea is critical to this process. I would also require absentee ballots to be received by the ballot date that should not extend beyond the last day for in person voting. Post marked and received by the day before in person is complete. It should be up to the voter to make this happen or show up and vote in person. Anything received after in person vote closes should not be processed. Election workers should not shut down the process of counting votes and real control measures should be maintained for voter integrity. Cast ballots should be weighed and audited through heightened control procedures and random forensic auditing should take place to test the control measures.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
This practice only creates greater relation issues. It should be up to people to make process changes through the legal system but we must make sure our legal system is not biased, but fair for all as we are individual Americans and must stand on together on principles of freedom to be a country of free people.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Not really only when incited by radical agendas and or media do you even no a problem has occured. We need to diffuse hatred by whatever means and work to enhance security and training for those who are on the frontline activities. We have to learn from the past and allow for democracy to work protecting our freedoms no matter where we live, protecting life, liberty and freedoms without fear.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
It works, it is safe and it brings the resources up safely and economically. A win win and we need more win wins.
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A we have to reduce regulations, we must check our processes but not to the extent to control the level of what is produced. As long as our economic activity is of high quality then we need not over burden or regulate it, especially in times of a crisis. Oil from free countries has a greater value than oil from communist countries as we can ramp up to make freedom free. We need to develop quickly safely and better than the rest of the world it is our strategic advantage and we need to hold a position of strength in our economies to be free. Drill Baby Drill, Mine Baby Mine and produce a better product than anywhere else in the world. Stricter is not better, better is better and our economy is the best.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I believe you give the people the tools and get out of their way. We need tools from time to time and people will do the right thing when needs are identified and when we work together for a common goal.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
I have links on my website to events, videos of events, news events and other activities. It is on my website but linked off of it, just click on the videos and see What Stephen has been up to...That is me Stephen Wright, vote for Stephen and you will not be disappointed.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No none of the above.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I plan to use my contracting, budgeting, advising and accounting skills acquired in the US Air Force, to help preserve and protect the nation’s resources, and Alaska rights, as well as develop effective safeguards to help the country and strengthen our presence in this key Arctic region and build our national defense. Places like ANWR and pebble mine should be opened, and prudently and purposefully explored. I hope to enact legislation that provides a maximum benefit for the people of Alaska. As a resource development state it is essential that we work with the federal government to develop our shared resources. But it is also important to utilize our state land and acquire all lands we are entitled to as a state. We should not be regulated more than other states. It is vital that we insert our statehood act so that we can be on equal ground as other states. I also feel that for our nation's defense we may need to enact the defense authorizations act to get the oil and gas going that we need as the price of gas should not be at record highs and we should not be enriching communist countries who want us to fail. We must make Alaska and America great again. Bring back those oil and gas jobs and let freedom ring.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Disagree
Police should abide the same prosecution as the regular citizen. No one is above the law and we must work to make sure that our laws work and protect those that serve and help keep our streets safe and secure.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Well funded police with proper gear, cameras and training is needed to keep and make America Great.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I support the right to carry and we must provide all the freedoms needed to keep people secure. We have laws that protect these rights and they must be maintained. It is not the gun that kills it is the criminals with ill intent that kill. Guns are a tool for protection and in many cases subsistence, Especially here in Alaska. You never know when a bear is going to attack and you will need weapons from time to time for security and protection it is a right.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
Legal actions can be take against violent offenders. Our courts provide a mechanism for people to seek justice. As long as our rights as a free people are protected then we will have justice for all.
