Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Strongly Disagree

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Strongly Agree

Current regulations on domestic oil exploration and drilling are more restrictive than are necessary.

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When it is in order to save the physical life of the mother.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The God-breathed need for liberty in Galatians where Paul says "It is for Freedom that Christ set us free." It's is by the separation of powers in article 1 of the constitution that limits and restricts the power of government.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised in a Christ-centered home. At the age of 15 in 1976 I asked Jesus Christ in to my life. I believe that all have sinned and fall short of GOD'S standard. (Romans 3:23) Because of our sin, we deserve death and judgement but we have a way out through the sacrificial death of Jesus (Romans 6:23).

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

On CNN I debated Wolf Blitzer (see my web site for the video) On Fox Business I openly opposed Obamacare (see my website for the video) I received the second highest conservative score from Young Conservatives of Texas and Texas Eagle Forum. I received a "perfect" voting record on life as per Texas Right To Life. I also passed out of the TX House the CSCOPE Transparency Bill banning the use of Common Core in this curriculum that was in 80% of Texas schools. The Bill became law in October of 2013. Passed the Firearms Protection Act https://youtu.be/3zqECd5MM8k * Lead the charge in standing against Obamacare and Medicaid Expansion in Texas https://youtu.be/DSvHnCWHgEQ

Additional comment from candidate:

Texas Congressional District 8 is the 4th most conservative district in the US out of 435 Congressional Districts (Cook rating). It is served by a 19 year incumbent who has a score of F from Conservative Review, Eagle Forum and I believe Heritage Action gave him a 54% as well. Texas CD-8 voters deserve a representative that will vote their values and not Sheila Jackson Lee's.
