What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The core belief in the "imperfect and selfish nature" of every person. As such, no individual or group of individuals can operate with unchecked power because that individual or group of individuals will quickly trend toward significant and unconstrained corruption. Hence, the Founders worked feverishly to ensure there were significant barriers to a consolidation of power through 3 co-equal branches of government & a limited federal role to keep power dispersed, hence, extremely limited.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I am strongly Pro-Life.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am an "Evangelical Christian" who: - Believes in the inspiration and authority of Scripture - Believes Ultimate Life is found in Jesus Christ - Believes our highest calling is to "Love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves." - Believes I am called to be Christ-like in my attitudes, words, and deeds. Hence, I am called to be "Christ's hands and feet" in a needy world. That is why my wife and I invest a considerable amount of our time, talents and treasures to be a blessing in a broken world. (Dozens of trips to Romania, India, Haiti, etc. with ministries to orphans, gypsies, extremely poor and needy, etc.) As well as involvement and support of our local church and other local initiatives which serve the needy. - A strong proponent of the 1st Amendment and, as such, the importance of Religious Freedom.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
- Social: Involved in Pro-Life organizations, Public support of marriage being between a man and a woman alone, Dozens of mission trips to Romania, India, and Haiti (not depending on gov't to solve their issues), Involved in non-profit organizations which address battered women, orphans, gypsies, etc...not looking to government to fix all social ills. Ultimately, the church of Jesus Christ has central role to be His hands and feet. - Economic: A life-long free-market conservative. Low taxes and limited regulations on our economy! Support candidates who support economic freedom. - National Security: Strongly support Israel. Voted for Ronald Reagan for President in Primary and General Elections because of his commitment to rebuild our military! - As President of Local K-12 School Board for 7 years, have been on Indiana School Board Legislative Committee fighting against Common Core and for Local Control of our Schools.
