QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I successfully lobbied to remove state funds from abortions in Ohio.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
I led the successful charge to make sure nutrition and hydration could not be removed from a patient without their informed consent in Ohio law. I was a spokesperson for Terri Schiavo and lobbied to save her life (once successfully). I interviewed Jack Kevorkian on my radio program, exposed his radical views, and kept him from setting up his suicide shop in Ohio as he had announced he was planning to do.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
To save the life of the mother, however, the goal is not to kill the child to save the mother, the goal should be to save both. I was the architect of the pro-life Heartbeat Bill which ensures that if a heartbeat is detected, the baby is protected. I oversaw passage of it in Ohio (overcoming 2 vetoes, and introducing it five times). I also recruited the sponsor of the Texas Heartbeat Law, and helped to draft it--saving 40,000 babies each year--the most significant pro-life victory in 50 years. I also helped other states introduce and pass Heartbeat Bills--more than 30 states have introduced it, 14 states have passed it, with Idaho being the latest to pass the Texas-style Heartbeat Law with civil penalties. Like in Texas, this Idaho Bill will protect 9/10 babies when signed into law. Although the TX Supreme Court and U.S. Supreme Court have reviewed the TX Heartbeat Law, they did not have the votes to strike it down. That means, no matter what the Supreme Court rules this summer, Roe v. Wade is dead--for nine out of ten babies whose heartbeats can be detected. And, as technology improves, Heartbeat Laws will protect even more children. Yet, we must go back and protect the rest--from when their lives began at fertilization.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Strongly Disagree
Socialism and Communism have never worked to help the people in any nation on earth. I have been an outspoken opponent of this in many platforms including appearing in the award-winning documentary film "Agenda" by Curtis Bowers exposing the Marxist agenda.
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
We cannot continue to spend money we don't have. I believe we need to return to a balanced budget--beginning by cutting spending to the enemies of America and Israel and including cutting government bureaucracies like the Department of Education.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Taxes must be cut for businesses, individuals and families across the board including property taxes. We must reward productivity not penalize it.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I helped draft the Ohio bill to protect the religious liberty of business owners. I also wrote a book (The Criminalization of Christianity) and produced a documentary about it (Light Wins: How to Overcome the Criminalization of Christianity) on this danger. I also led the successful charge to reverse the Military policy which prohibited Military Chaplains from praying in Jesus' name.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
I addressed this in-depth in my book (The Criminalization of Christianity) and documentary I produced about it (Light Wins: How to Overcome the Criminalization of Christianity) In it, I interviewed business owners who lost their livelihoods for standing for their Biblical beliefs. This must never happen again. I will continue to be a strong national voice against it.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
The church must be protected FROM the state and be free to practice publically and privately in every corner of the culture. That is why our founders explicitly drafted the First Amendment to say, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or PROHIBITING the free exercise thereof." The Church is the body of Christ and extends beyond the four walls of the church building. That is why our First Amendment Right to Freedom of Religion can not be prohibited when students walk through the doorway of the public school or any public marketplace of ideas--including the internet.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
none. When elected, I will introduce a "Nuremberg Amendment” to remove funding from states that violate the Nuremberg Code with forced vaccinations as a condition for employment, education, travel, medical treatment, or the purchase of goods and services.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C We need Free Market Healthcare wherever possible while taking care of our seniors and the disabled.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C, However, we should promote democracy and encourage others to fight tyranny as Ronald Reagan did on multiple fronts.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
I have led many pro-Israel campaigns, including full-page ads in the Wall Street Journal (signed by many organizations), and television ads on Fox News (nationally) to stand with Israel. I also led a pro-Israel campaign (through my radio program) which sent 30,000 yellow "friendship" roses to the Israeli Prime Minister and to Israeli soldiers who had been injured (during the Obama admin), letting the Israeli people know they were not alone which made the front page of the Jerusalem Post.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
We need to follow the money and see who is complicit in aiding this threat to our intellectual property, trade, and our freedoms.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
For starters, we should stop federal funding of nations who shout "death to America (and Israel) and stop treating Islamic terrorism as mere "workplace violence." We must also not be afraid to call it by its name--Islamic terrorism--as Obama and other Democrats have refused to do. We must make sure that we are not funding this political threat in our schools and in our government "Diversity training." We must treat it as the threat to our national security and our freedom that it is--with full force of the law.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
National Security begins by securing our borders. We must finish the wall! We must also defund "sanctuary cities" that violate federal immigration law.
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
I will introduce this amendment, it is already in my literature and website: www.JanetFolgerPorter.com
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Those who come to the United States legally, who are not criminals or members of violent gangs, are willing to learn English, learn our Constitution, our law, history, and provide for themselves and their families.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
I addressed this issue extensively in my books, radio programs, speeches, interviews, and commentaries. I also addressed this through my documentary film, "Light Wins--How to Overcome the Criminalization of Christianity."
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
I initiated a "Child Protection and Parental Rights Bill" as a founding member of the National Association of Christian Lawmakers" which gives parents civil remedy against any school which teaches that one race is superior to another (much like the Texas Heartbeat Bill with a civil remedy). Parents would be enabled to sue if this racist propaganda is taught to their children and collect $10,000/violation.)
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I have been a Bible-believing Christian since I was saved at a Billy Graham Crusade at age 9. I don't believe the Bible is like a buffet where we can pick and choose the parts we like most while ignoring the rest. I also believe we are called to put our faith to action and see the impossible bow to the name of Jesus. I believe God is everything He claimes to be, and that we can do everything He says we can do--"all things through Christ who strengthens us." I also believe that we are to occupy until He comes, rather than cower in a corner awaiting Christ's return; to be salt and light in this dark and decaying culture.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
This is absurd, as I wrote about in my latest book, "A Heartbeat Away." It is the way we can determine if a voter is, in fact, who he says he is. A photo ID is required to drive, to fly, to take out a library book. It should be required to vote. I will introduce legislation to remove funding from states that do not require a photo-ID to vote.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
In addition to requiring photo IDs to vote, we must also return to paper ballots and investigate further voter crime such as the voting machines and practices in the last election. We must eliminate mail-in ballots with the exception of requested absentee ballots from the elderly and disabled. In addition, also shorten the voting time--making it a voting DAY, and not voting "months"--to lessen the time used to cheat. We must also have camera surveillance, poll-watchers ALWAYS present from start to finish. Also, we must count the absentee ballots FIRST as Ohio and Florida do, so those trying to cheat won't know the "exact number" of ballots they must "come up with" to steal the election as we saw in the swing states in 2020.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The constant talk of racism has been used to divide us, with the left fueling (self-admitted) Marxist organizations like Black Lives Matter. As Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis, points out, we are all one blood--all of one race. We must dial down the division and focus on what unites us. The threat to domestic security is the movement to de-fund the police, and post bail for violent criminals and rioters as Kamala Harris has done.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A. While we all want clean water and air and should support efforts to ensure that, regulations have gotten out of control and are costing jobs and hurting our farmers, businesses, and our economy.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I was ranked as "Very Conservative" by iVoter Guide when I ran for Ohio Senate in 2016. I am now the "most-watched woman" in the United States by the leftist group Right Wing Watch. They, and others, who list me at one of the top 5 "Most dangerous religious right leaders in Trump's America" consider me a threat to their godless and Marxist agenda. They are right.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
that information is on www.JanetFolgerPorter.com and www.RightWingWatch.org, which has more articles about me as Janet Folger and Janet Porter than any other woman in America.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I am running to defend our liberty as hard as worked to defend life. That includes the Second Amendment. My father was an Army Sergeant, and I will be a strong voice for Veterans and against efforts to restrict and remove guns from law-abiding citizens. As I wrote in my latest book, A Heartbeat Away, "No politician who supports gun control should get armed protection paid for by the citizens they are trying to disarm." I also worked to defend President Trump against voter fraud with videos that were forwarded by General Flynn that received more than a million views on multiple platforms.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
Department policy prevents things like abuse, manslaughter, and murder.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
We need to fund the police so they can do what we hired them to do--protect us.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
As our 2nd Amendment states, "...the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." "Shall not" is pretty clear. It shall not be infringed.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
If guns are misused, it is not the fault of the manufacturer, just like if knives are misused, knife manufacturers should not be liable.
