What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Question 12 follow up: the founders actually created a representative democracy (or republic). Mankind has at its very root a sinful nature and desire for power. The Separation of Powers doctrine was inspired by John Locke and implemented in the Constitution by the Founders to do one primary things to prevent one branch of Government from ruling with an iron fist.

Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God is first and everything else is secondary. The Constitution must be the basis for all our laws and no President, Member of Congress or even Supreme Court Justice has power beyond God or the Constitution.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe life begins at conception and believe abortion should be illegal. In the very rare case that the doctors determine the life of the mother will be lost if the baby comes to term, I believe that this decision should be left up to the family and the doctors to decide the proper course of action.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I'm a Christian pastor who has planted five churches from the ground level. My wife is also an ordained minister and our children love the Lord. I believe in the Holy Trinity: God the Father, the Holy Spirit and God's only Son Jesus, the Messiah foretold by the Jewish prophets. I am pro-life, pro-traditional family, and conservative in my values.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Additional comment from candidate:

“‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." St. Matthew 6:9-13
