Individuals and families in Eastern Washington should not have to live in fear over how they will pay for their prescription medications, especially when they are living with a rare or chronic illness. This is why it is so important to stand on the side of innovation, so we can achieve more medical breakthroughs and help millions of people manage the symptoms they experience every day. I believe we should allow businesses to pool together to purchase insurance, permit insurance to be sold across state lines, and limit junk lawsuits. We should also promote healthier lifestyles, deploy new health technologies, and expand access to care in rural areas. That’s what the American people want and deserve.

Recent events in Ukraine have shown the dangers of tyranny and its potential to spread on a global scale. I supported funding to help the hundreds of thousands of civilians fleeing this unwarranted aggression. The United States should help its allies and promote democratic values across the globe.

America must never shy away from supporting the only democracy in the Middle East, Israel. That is why I am the co-chair of the The Abraham Accords Caucus serving as an important step towards promoting and achieving peace in the Mideast.

China continues to grow as a national and global security threat. I was vocal recently calling out companies that have sponsored the Beijing Olympics. China has used slave labor, wage genocide, and silenced their citizens across the country. Companies in America continue to foster friendly relationships with this communist regime, and we must shed a light on this issue.

The United States has so many tremendous energy sources, sources we need to maintain American energy dominance. We need a bold, comprehensive, all-of-the-above energy strategy to win the future and secure cleaner American energy. This must include real, workable solutions that unleash innovation in hydropower, nuclear, clean coal, and natural gas to reduce emissions, prioritize energy security, and keep energy costs low.

I support the second amendment. We must protect those rights for law abiding citizens while keeping guns out of the hands of people who shouldn’t have access. I have supported legislation to fix the NICS system in Congress and provide schools resources to keep kids safe.
