There should be a strict constitutional spending limit for state and local governments that would tie the rate of spending to the rate of population growth plus the rate of inflation.

Strongly Agree

Marijuana should be legalized and regulated like tobacco and alcohol.

Strongly Disagree

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Man has an innate predisposition to selfishness, self-centeredness and moral depravity. History tells us that even men ordained by God to lead, fall into the temptation to abuse their power, much as King David did with Bathsheba. In short, power corrupts...Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God>Voters>Constitution>Congress=Supreme Court

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

As a Christ follower, I have gratefully accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. By grace alone, I have been saved from my natural, sinful state through His substitutionary death at Calvary, thus restoring me to a right-standing relationship with God. I live in a God-centered universe and I see His intervention in our world as active and ongoing, according to His plan. I believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God from Gen. 1:1 to Rev. 22:21. My values and moral compass are aligned with what the Bible teaches. I am pro-life, pro-family, and pro-traditional (one man/one woman) marriage. I make no exceptions here, as these things are unambiguously biblical. I believe our nation was founded as a Christian nation, with His explicit blessing. As we are now rapidly running away from that origin, we are in danger of losing His blessings described in Deut. 8:19-20.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

Though I have not been elected to office yet and had a chance to establish a voting record on the issues, I have personally supported conservative candidates and helped them to get elected to office. I have been a member of conservative organizations such as Heritage Foundation and the NRA. My personal Twitter account, @Tomzzzdoc, will reveal a consistently conservative world view that began with the tweet "I support Joe Wilson!" on September 9, 2009. In the course of this election cycle, I have interviewed with many of the most respected conservative organizations in Texas, and they have all, without exception, chosen me over my opponent as the true conservative in this race. As have two of my original three opponents, upon exiting the race, declared me to be the conservative choice, and endorsed me.
