I have changed to pro-life after many years. I was pro-choice for adults and then when I was pregnant with my first child and saw him early in an ultrasound I knew I could not have an abortion myself. It has taken a long time for me to come to the conclusion that life begins at conception. I do not know what exceptions, if any, I would support.

I can understand people wanting to relieve excruciating pain in their final days. My sister died of pancreatic cancer and was in pain. She went on hospice and had pain medications, but those caused her breathing to be difficult. That was hard to watch. I do not have a definite position on this issue.

Taxes should be lowered. Sales tax used to be about 5%, now it's 10%. B&O taxes hurt small businesses. A few years ago the legislature raised property taxes in an effort to fully fund education, and reduced the amount that could be raised by local levies at the same time. Great idea, but a couple years later they increased the levy limit back up to where it was before.

I would decrease funding for housing. This can be done by returning land use regulation to local control. The State took over land use planning in 1990. That needs to be reversed. We need to change the way fatherless children are cared for. More emphasis on preventing pregnancy in young adults and holding fathers accountable, perhaps reducing or withholding aid until a father is identified.

This would have the people who work in jobs that do not require college to help pay for the college education of those who want to work in jobs that require college. It would require increased taxes, which would hurt the working low income people the most.

I didn't think much about this until COVID 19. The COVID shot is not even really a vaccination, even though they call it that. It does not prevent the disease. Also, children are less susceptible to it and have milder symptoms. The side effects of the shots are not well known. I will fight to keep children free from being required to take these injections.

Those who have job skills that are needed in the US and those who will be political prisoners probably leading to being executed in their home countries. We have a history of allowing immigration from other countries on a percentage basis and I do not know the reasons why this should be continued or stopped.

Elections need to be as verifiability accurate as possible. Our whole system is based on voters being able to decide who leads them. If are elections are not secure, then this policy is lost.

I would like to return to voting in person and allowing for absentee ballots. Also, I would like to see at least two weeks prior to an election for registering to vote so the systems can be updated and check for duplicates.

Generally A, environmental laws are too strict and hurt the economy. Of course each regulation needs to be studied separately to see if it should be repealed. An exception may be the Growth Management Act passed in 1990 that sets up a Statewide land use regulatory system.

I just looked up information on hydraulic fracking. I see that Washington State is one of four that do not allow it. Considering who has been in charge of Washington State for many years, I would tend toward disagreeing with them. Perhaps ownership of the rights and access point requirements might be explored.

As I was coming up from looking over the seat and he was standing on the seat, he smacked me hard in the face. My body reacted before I knew I was hit and I may have had contact with him. I was charged with assault. A jury found me not guilty. They believed me and the expert that testified that my body reacted without me being conscious of the action. My legislative priorities will be to return power down as much as possible from the State to the local governments and from the local governments to parents and the people.

Police work is a tough job and split second decisions need to be made. As in civil law, an action does not need to be the best action that could have been taken after analyzing the situation afterward for it to avoid liability.
