OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should be avoided at all possible costs. Ultrasounds should be provided and adoption options should be introduced before ever considering. With today's amazing health care babies can survive at as little as 20 weeks so the life of the mother should be be a very rare occurrence.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

I will work to protect Social Security benefits for the generations to come and work to give people a choice to personally invest as an alternative as well.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Every state agency has wasteful spending, I would draw the line there first and put a freeze on any new spending and I would cancel any annual cost of living increases across state government, sniff out and eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse and I would incentivize public agencies to be innovative, fiscally responsible, and service oriented. We also need to budget based upon actual monies and not what do we want to spend then go and raise taxes to cover it.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

We should work to reform our education system so that our kids have more, choice, better outcomes and streamline the process in order to reduce the cost of education.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It was buried deep within a letter to the Danbury Baptists from Thomas Jefferson and it was referencing the absolute ideal that the Federal Government would never make a National Church but the states reserved right. 11 of the first 13 colonies required that you be a Christian, to serve in public office because they wanted people of good moral character. This is strictly to keep Government/ the state out of the functioning of the church. It does not mean and has never meant that the church should not engage in the political arena.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Using free market principals of competition to drive quality up and the price down and increase choice by expanding insurance coverage across state lines.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We should understand the very real threat and here and abroad. We should make sure our military, intelligence community and our law enforcement has the tools and the training they need to spot and deal with threats of this nature.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

The U.S. allows 1 Million people a year to immigrate which is the most allowed by any country. Anybody who comes legally, follows the law and contributes should be allowed to immigrate.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am Conservative, Bible believing, Christian who believes in the Golden Rule that hinges upon the two greatest commandments. 1. Love your God with all your heart, soul and strength and 2. Love your neighbor as yourself. I believe that this nation was created by divine providence and founded upon Judeo Christian values and that this nation is at a cross roads spiritually , culturally, and politically because we have rejected our foundational principals and stopped teaching the morals and values found in the bible. I believe in hard work, in keeping your word, and the American dream. I believe that parents know what is best for thier children.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Q13 Fox quoted as saying can an outspoken conservative Christian be the next Lt. Governor or Washington State? Doug and Marty Vs. The World radio program.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No! Never

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I grew up in Central and Eastern Washington in Quincy, East Wenatchee, and Coulee Dam and have lived, worked and raised my family all over the Puget Sound. My Father was a construction worker and a rancher, My mothers family were farmers. I grew up with a strong work ethic and moral character, earned my Eagle Scout at a young age.I bring 35 years of leadership experience that spans: Healthcare, Business, Media, and Ministry and I have a passion to make a real difference in the lives of all washington residents and the lives of the next generation. I will be fair and just as the presiding officer of the Senate and I will advocate for choice and more educational pathways to success for all students, I have a plan to hold government accountable and incentivize good stewardship, I will work to reduce red tape to bring the cost of housing down. I will advocate for people of faith to have a seat at the table and defend your first amendment rights + God given/ constitutionally protected righ

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Enforce existing laws to keep guns out of the hands of criminals- No new restrictions are needed We must protect law abiding citizens rights to keep and bear arms. It is the amendment that protects the rest.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. More educational pathways to success for all students with exposure and opportunity in the trades, apprenticeships, Skills centers and CTE. The current system has been in place since WW11 and we are still failing our kids- telling them that every kid has to go to college, accrue massive debt to enter a market where 54% are underemployed or not employed in their chosen career. When at the same time 7.1 Million jobs are available in the trades with no debt and a great income. 2. Government Accountability- Your government works for you and they shoule be accountable for the service they provide to you and for the tax dollars they have been entrusted with. 3. Cutting red tape in order to lower the cost of housing and to increase housing supply.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Civil unrest due to Racism and other things is a threat to Domestic security of Americans. Tensions are high and cooler heads need to prevail.
