What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Reducing the regulatory burdens on businesses, and especially small businesses. Encourage job creation by offering tax incentives to new startups.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Allow individuals to purchase insurance across State lines, like Auto, Home and other types of insurances which helps create more competition, which lowers prices and raises quality. Allow more groups (daycare providers, contractors, landscapers, etc.) to join together to create large purchasers of insurance, and thus reducing the cost.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The Federal gov't needs to balance their budget, stop stealing money from the next generation, and pay down the national debt. They need to limit the size and scope of gov't to minimize wasteful spending. Eliminate the Federal income tax.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I believe I have proven myself to be capable of solving very complex issues and problems when I earned my degree in Biochemistry and spent my career researching DNA and developing cancer therapies. I have more recently studied the US Constitution and the WA State Constitution in order to better understand the exact role of gov't (to protect individual Rights and to provide certain, limited and enumerated services to better society). I served honorably in the US Air Force; My wife and I have raised 4 children; and we have been property owners for several decades. Life experiences and common sense play a big role in who I am and how I will legislate.
