What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Specific theology about God are not to be advanced by governments beyond what is implied in the Declaration. So it is arguable that governments may not fund a nativity scene. But the acknowledgment of the existence and authority of God by government entities is no way in conflict with the First Amendment. Otherwise, the Declaration of Independence, believed by many in 1789 to be the original Bill of Rights, would itself be categorically unconstitutional. A citizen is incapable of violating the First Amendment. As is evident with every one of the Bill of Rights, the First Amendment was never intended as a restriction on citizen behavior. It is a restriction on government alone. A valedictorian does not violate the First Amendment by proclaiming to her fellow graduates that she believes in Jesus Christ as her savior. But a school district that establishes a rule prohibiting her statement is in direct violation of the First Amendment.

I do not believe that there should be any restrictions on EXITING the United States #4: I believe that governments should not be trusted to define marriage AT ALL. There should be NO licensing of the religious institution of marriage #6: The government's role in health care insurance should be to require that every citizen be responsible for their own health care expenses (let them decide whether to insure themselves). I do see a role for the government providing catastrophic insurance for the indigent #11: This is the best way to maintain peace from foreign enemies. Domestic peace requires strong moral character from leadership in churches, elected officials and law enforcement #12: Taxpayers should fund K-12 but all education should be private, not public #16: I support FEDERAL legalization of marijuana #17: I believe there should be NO protected classes AT ALL
