QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Elective abortion is contrary to the principles this country was founded on, and as a Christian, I cannot support it.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

As concerning as rape and incest are, I do not believe they are justification for abortion; however, I will not judge anyone who has or will make this choice.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

God created life. We should never interfere with His timing.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Minimum wage laws are counterproductive for both workers and businesses, and the overall economy suffers.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

America is a shining example of the benefits of these two principles. Throughout our history our citizens have been able to prosper from one generation to the next, thus providing economic stability for their families and opportunities for others wishing to enjoy the American Dream.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

1) American citizens should be the only recipients of social services (possibly accessible to others in very limited situations). 2) We need to be able to cross check social services databases across the United States.. 3) Bring our entitlement programs back in line with their original purposes and audit them on a regular basis.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me "separation of church and state" means that Congress cannot establish a state church or prevent us from exercising of our religious beliefs.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

This would be a violation of our First Amendment rights.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

D most closely matches my view on healthcare because much of what we experience today is not working. The systems are corrupted and have created unhealthy incentives and dependence on what insurance "allows," rather than what the patient needs or wants. The focus needs to be on health care not sick care.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

Such a database would be very dangerous and would most likely lead to inhumane and sinister outcomes such as the withdrawal of services for non-compliance with recommended protocols.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

No doubt about it. We cannot allow them to take the lead, and where they are threatening, we must soundly surpass them.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Israel is our friend and ally and a humane member of Western Civilization. We must continue to stand up for Israel and help them as they fight back against Islamic barbarism and indecency and any other threats that challenge their right to peacefully exist.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

I have voted to prohibit sanctuary cities in my own state and believe those that exist should have federal funds withdrawn unless or until they stop such treasonous practices.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

The evidence is clear that education has suffered since the inception of the U.S. Department of Education--most of our children are not proficient in math and reading and cannot think critically or express themselves articulately orally or in writing . All children deserve a good education, and education is best when administered by local school boards, teachers, and parents.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

Foreign financial support for schools leads to concepts being taught that are anathema to American thought and culture and dangerous for our national security.

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Strongly Disagree

It is a corrupting influence and mostly the poor suffer and nobody really wins.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a traditional Christian. I believe in the Trinity, that God the Father created me and all things, that Jesus Christ died for my sins,, and that my faith is a gift of the Holy Sprit. I believe we are all equal in the eyes of God and for that reason all persons, no matter their station in life, should be treated with dignity and respect.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

That is an absurd notion. We must present photo identification for almost everything we do; therefore, our most sacred and valued right in this country should be protected by photo identification that confirms our citizenship.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

None of us should ever be rewarded or punished based on what our ancestors did or didn't do.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

I'm not sure--hydro and nuclear power are probably the most reliable, but I'm not sure if they will supply our growing demand. Natural gas quite possibly may power our future.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

To keep violent criminals off the street and punish non-violent offenders commensurately.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Online activities are ubiquitous; parents need the support of government to protect children.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I know there is considerable debate about this issue, but for me drug abusers, the mentally ill or incompetent, and felons convicted of violent crimes should not own guns.
