The federal government should have no role; this is an issue for the states as set forth by the Supreme Court, and there should also be no taxpayer-funded abortions.


RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The state should recognize the freedom of religion and protect churches. The state should remain neutral on religion and not show favor to any one specific religion. The separation between church and state should provide churches protection from government bias and interference and allow them to operate unincumbered.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C. Securing our own border should be our number one priority for national security. We also need to continue to stand with the State of Israel to stop Hamas terrorists, remove them from power and release all hostages.

Yes. Israel is our ally. Hamas’ terror capabilities must be destroyed, removed from power and all hostages released.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

We need to restore respect for those who choose to serve our country and provide better pay and training. The world is a dangerous place. The men and women who serve on the front line of defense for our country are heroes who should be honored and NOT disrespected.


HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Government has an obligation to develop vaccines and distribute them for the overall healthcare quality and safety of society. The process to decide on taking a vaccine rest with individual’s and their Constitutional rights as Americans.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C. Allow individuals to choose their own providers and create tax-advantage HSAs. Create pathways for more competition in healthcare services and pharma to help drive pricing down so it is more affordable for patients.


ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

Continue our efforts of tax reform and reduction to allow working families to keep more money. Individuals can decide how to spend their hard-earned money much better than big government.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

We need to secure our border as our number one priority. We already have laws in place to allow immigrants to become US Citizens but we need to enforce these laws.


EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

I voted to override the Governor's veto of the "Parents' Bill of Rights" legislation. I was a primary bill sponsor of the "Charter School Omnibus" bill in which I also voted to override the Governor's veto. I was also a co-sponsor of the "Choose Your School, Choose Your Future" legislation to give parents school choice.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

As a legislator in the NC House of Representatives, I was a co-sponsor of the “Fairness in Women's Sports Act” which prohibits biological males from participating in female sports in middle school, high school and colleges/universities. I also voted to override the Governor’s veto of this bill ensuring it would become law.
