OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

3. The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

4. Government should enforce laws designed to protect the border and to prevent illegal entry of persons into the country.

Strongly Agree

5. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should be repealed by Congress.

7. Marriage is a union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

"Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." ~ It is our inborn corrupt nature that leans toward pride, greed, and power that the Founders knew all too well in the corruption of the monarchy in England. This is why they wisely instituted checks and balances within our form of government, and this is where we have strayed today.

16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

1. Free markets: they are the backbone of a thriving, stable economy where citizens can use their God-given talents to innovate and excel, so that jobs are created and promoted. Some taxes are necessary for the general good (police, safe roads, etc.) but our current tax code unnecessarily burdens job-creators, entrepreneurs, and other hard-working citizens. A Fair Tax system is imperative in a truly free market society. 2. Adherence to the Constitution: if we do not adhere to our standard of government, or manipulate it to suit our political or personal whims, then we have no standard at all, and our government will eventually collapse. 3. national defense/military issues: we must have a strong national defense, which includes increasing our military in numbers and expertise. We as a nation lead by strength, not by weakness. Included here are veterans' issues: we need to provide for our veterans who have selflessly given of themselves in service to this country

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Did not answer

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God. Constitution, voters

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born-again. Bible-believing Christian who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, God incarnate, and in Him alone is salvation. My beliefs and values stem from the Bible: God first, always. For instance, the Bible teaches that Life is sacred and worthy of protection, from conception to natural death. God gave us laws; laws are necessary to maintain civil order and therefore should be followed unless they contradict moral conscience. Our Constitution is our country's standard of government and should be upheld- Freedom of religion, freedom of speech, the press; the right to bear arms, etc.
