Social Security is a very poorly designed system. However, many Americans have become dependent on it. Therefore, we should continue social security for those currently in collecting or paying into the system. We should end it for those entering the workforce in the future, and replace it with a voluntary privatized individual retirement account where each worker is allowed to control his account/investments and has ownership of the account from day one.
