How to Vote Biblical Values

Every two years, we take time to look at the differences in the political party platforms. After all, whether it’s a "D," an "R," or even an "L," a "G," or an "I," each candidate purposely chose their party affiliation and wanted that particular letter of the alphabet beside their name on the general election ballot.

Since each candidate chose the party most representative of their values and positions, shouldn’t we know what those positions are?

We’ve done that once again this year, and you can download our one-page party platform comparison.

As I was praying about this year’s email in context of the changing political landscape and party rhetoric, the Lord laid on my heart that, although distinguishing between political parties is important and helpful, nothing is as important as weighing every issue and candidate against the unerring word of God.

Although it may not jump out to you on our website, iVoterGuide has gone through six major issue areas and tried to give a broad overview of the issue, a synopsis of what the Bible says about the issue, and a comparison of the Republican and Democratic party platforms.

You can find information on each area by clicking the link below:

We’re so thankful that God shows Himself through His creation (Romans 1:18-20) and that “the heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” (Psalm 19:1) He reveals himself to us through holy scriptures that are “God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16) He speaks to us through his Son (Hebrews 1:1-2), and when we seek him, He will answer. (Deut. 4:29, Matt. 7:7) God speaks to all these issues!

In addition to putting the information on the website, we’ve created a digital version as well as a four-fold brochure so that you can share and print the information easily, and so we can all put our focus on God’s word during this critical election season.

Our hope is that you would take the time to read through it and prayerfully consider how God is calling you to vote as you compare how candidates are applying their understanding of the issues as seen through iVoterGuide’s evaluations of more than 13,000 candidates.

God’s position on every issue is the only right answer.
