Resources for Sharing
Did you know that 84% of people trust friend referrals over any other type of marketing? That’s right . . . who YOU recommend to a friend is more credible (and therefore carries more weight) than massive ad buys from campaigns? I find this news very encouraging!
When iVoterGuide first began, we had enthusiastic supporters who went to great lengths to share the news about iVoterGuide. A few people made home-made yard signs. Others wrote “iVoterGuide” on their car windows with shoe polish! Our iVoterGuide family has always been full of great ideas and creativity and your creativity inspires us!
Because of the power you have to reach voters, iVoterGuide created professionally designed neighborhood and church outreach tools, so you don’t have to resort to shoe polish to encourage others to vote wisely.
What You Can Do
The first step in making a difference is, of course, ensuring that you are voting prayerfully and wisely by using iVoterGuide. Then, you can ensure that your loved ones and those around you are doing the same. For those who live in your districts, or even your household, you can print your personalized ballot to share. I’ve been known to do that for my family members!
With margins of victory so close in elections these days, be sure that you can make a difference whether you have a huge sphere of influence or just visit occasionally with a neighbor. You can actively share iVoterGuide by passing out printable business cards and flyers, or order some door hangers if you are planning on block walking. But you also can passively share iVoterGuide through window decals and even yard signs that give information about iVoterGuide and provide a link so anyone can visit our website and access our evaluations of candidates on their ballot.
For spreading the word to church members or a congregation, we have a special PowerPoint slide, church bulletin insert, and even a letter from legal counsel affirming the right of a church to provide the link to our website. You will also find an informative handout created along with First Liberty Institute explaining what churches can and cannot do. These can all be printed at home or taken to a local printer.
Online Store for Doing More
For those of you who don’t want to mess with printing anything at home or who want to take your swag game to the next level, we now have an online store where you can purchase bundles of the items listed above in addition to some new products that have become our favorites: baseball caps, insulated tumblers, bookmarks, and buttons! Each piece can be used as a subtle (or not so subtle) way of reminding those around you that they, too, can make a difference!
Plan Ahead
Some of the things we mentioned, like printing flyers at home over a weekend, don’t take much turn-around time. However, if you want to purchase products or do wider outreach, be sure to plan ahead. Election Day is now less than 100 days away. Plan now so that you’ll have everything when you need it. I always keep a few iVoterGuide business cards in my purse, and I know other staff members plan to carry a handful of flyers to Bible study every week after September 1 . . . what do you plan to do?
Biblical Truth
The truth is you are a vessel. When you do your part, no matter how big or small, God will do the rest in order to fulfill his perfect will. Proverbs tells us that, “In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path.”
iVoterGuide offers you tools to help you do your part this election. However, only God can direct your path. Pray fervently about what you can do and listen closely when God speaks. Watch for the open doors and be prepared when you see them. Remind your friends, family, and community that it is important that they cast a vote. Do what you can by prayerfully voting and educating yourself and others!
