From the iVoterGuide table . . .

I pray your Thanksgiving is blessed and full of appreciation for God’s goodness! In the spirit of George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation, let’s take time to “. . . acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor . . .”

This year, as you can see from the picture, I am cooking for a crowd! My family is gathering with two other families from our church. One family from Brazil will be experiencing Thanksgiving for the first time! I’m excited for them to know the amazing history of the first Thanksgiving and the Pilgrims’ faith in God, which laid the foundation of Judeo-Christian values for our country.

One family tradition I enjoy is for each person at the dinner table to say what they are thankful for. This year, we extended that tradition to our iVoterGuide staff, who are like family, and asked them what they are thankful for. I’d love to share a few of the things they mentioned as an encouragement and a reminder of God’s goodness.

We are thankful for life and health, and for God’s provision, faithfulness, and comfort through the most difficult times in life.

We are thankful that the present life isn't all we have. Through faith in Christ, we have eternal life. When He returns, we will live in joy, peace, and abundant health forever. 

“I am thankful for salvation; without Him, I would not be here.”

We are thankful for the undeserved gift of God’s grace through His Son, Jesus Christ. We are also thankful for His continued grace for each of us every day. There is nothing He cannot redeem. He turns our mourning to dancing.

“My Savior, for His Blessings are new every morning, Great is His faithfulness.”

We are thankful for our families—for the love and support our husbands and wives give, and for the freedom to raise our children in the faith, teach them about our country, and to pour into our grandchildren.

“I am blessed to live in the best country in the world, to have a wonderful, loving family, and to work with amazing Christian friends.”

We are so thankful for the opportunity to serve our country with like-minded co-workers and friends. We are grateful He has given us a purpose and equipped us with gifts and skills for the work we are blessed to accomplish!

We are thankful that God is sovereign over all things, including every election. “God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.” (Psalm 47:8 ESV)

Lastly, we are thankful for YOU! For fellow believers who love Jesus and love America and use and share iVoterGuide with their friends and family. We know that God created this ministry and called each of us to this work, but it is so encouraging to hear that our labors are appreciated!
