QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

The ONLY exception that I would favor is a strict life of the mother exception.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

From the founding of this Nation, churches have formed an integral part of our civic engagement. John Adams famously said, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." I worry that as our society drifts further and further from God, America is drifting further away from the Constitution and Democratic Republic our founders gave us. Our founders allowed state establishments of religion. Excluding God violates this fundamental principle.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C. As a Marine, I have seen too many brothers and sisters die fighting in wars we should have never been in. Our military should not be used to "nation build". We should only be involved in war if it is in the United States' best interest.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Most important thing we can do is empower our allies in the region, especially Israel, to defend themselves and ensure terrorist regimes don't take root in the Middle East. Our military should be focused on destroying threats to this country, not nation building, and the best way to eradicate Islamic terrorism is to ensure that threats to this country are dealt with swiftly. We don't need gender studies programs in Afghanistan; we need the threat of American power when people threaten our citizens.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Individuals should make medical decisions for themselves. Parents should make medical decisions for their children.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C. Government should be there as a safety net especially for those that physically cannot work: the disabled, young children, etc. Medicaid was originally meant for this purpose and as a safety net for folks who fell on hard times. Unfortunately, sometimes it de-incentivizes people from getting a better job, because if they get a raise they will lose healthcare. We need to get rid of the "benefits cliff" for working people so that they can climb out of poverty. Just as importantly we need to create work requirements.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

We need to get rid of the marriage penalty. We need to make it easier for married men and women to have children, own a home and raise a family.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

If we spent as much time concerned about securing our borders as much as we do securing the borders of other countries, we would be a much safer and prosperous country.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Legal immigration should happen based on merit and skills, not family relationships as it currently is. I support the Raise Act, which would change our legal immigration system to put our citizens first.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The Constitution reads "shall not be infringed". I am for National Reciprocity for concealed carry, and constitutional carry as well. Of course people who commit crimes with guns should pay a consequence, and our laws are adequate on this point. Importantly, the Second Amendment isn't about rabbit hunting; it's a check on tyranny, either within our country or outside of it. One of the most important guarantees of our liberty is the knowledge that we have a well-armed citizenry. That's the goal of the second amendment, and I'll legislate to promote that purpose.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

The only exception would be if a firearms dealer illegally sold a firearm.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I'm a Marine from a working class family, and I know the costs of bad policies: they destroy families, make our communities less safe, and harm children. I'm a successful businessman, too, and I'm running for this office not because I need a job or need to get rich from political connections. I'm running because I don't want my kids to grow up in a declining country.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

We are ALL children of God. Our humanity and our citizenship as Americans should unite us. Obsession with group identity divides us.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

1. Paper Ballots; There need to be paper ballots in order to properly audit elections. 2. Mandatory Photo ID; Everyone except for elected democrats support this. It is unconscionable that we do not require this. 3. End Mass Absentee Ballots and return to an Election Day (NOT an election season); absentee ballots should be reserved for military, elderly and the sick. The vast majority of us should be voting together on Election Day.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, CRT is racist and is a threat to our nation.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A.
