OTHER INFORMATION
QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Disagree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
To protect the life of the mother.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
People are living longer and are able to work longer. We need to take a serious look at the current retirement age and adjust it to reflect these changes. We also need to raise the earnings cap to capture more revenue.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
- Foreign Aide - Department of Housing and Urban Development - Education
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
U.S. colleges are experiencing an 8% annual inflation compared to the national average of 1.5%. The current student loan system allows colleges to continue to raise fees knowing that the government will just step in and make them affordable for students. Market forces need to be restored to the college education system to keep costs low. Forgiving student debt without addressing the larger inflation problem will just continue to make the problem worse.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
No religious organizations should be allowed to have an undue influence upon the government. The government in-turn needs to protect religious liberties.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Hyper-inflation is occurring within our healthcare system because a combination of the current insurance system and government involvement has removed market forces that would otherwise keep costs down. The job of the federal government is to regulate interstate commerce. I would seek to use these powers to get consumers directly involved in their healthcare choices by requiring insurance companies to pay directly to consumers instead of providers. Any additional steps to encourage competition and market forces should be used to keep costs low.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
The United States needs to continue to be actively involved in eradicating terrorism across the globe. We cannot hope that others will address this issue. Through maximizing intelligence, targeted attacks, and strategic partnerships we must identify potential threats as early as possible. We also need to continue to pursue the financial resources of these organizations. We must also seek ways to disrupt their online recruiting abilities.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
There should be a system in place that allows U.S. employers to hire outside of the country. This system would allow for the vetting of potential employees and the granting of the right to work by the federal government. How many immigrants are allowed to enter, and from where, should be decided by the federal government in partnership with the states. The federal government has every right and responsibility to decide who comes in this country and for how long.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Neutral
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
Did not answer
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Background checks at the point of purchase from licensed dealers should remain in place. Universal background checks that would require a national gun registry for enforcement will not increase public safety. Weapons based bans such as a ban on AR style weapons will not provide a meaningful impact on public safety and will only open up the door to future weapons based bans.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Agree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1. Comprehensive Immigration Reform 2. Paying down the national debt 3. Removing the federal government from public education
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is a continuing problem in our country. However, I do not believe that it is a threat to domestic security.
