OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

First stop the carnage, then we can examine the instances where there are legitimate cases after that. Giving the Left an inch, safe, rare and legal - has led to the destruction of tens of millions of innocent lives.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

SCOTUS has Unconstitutionally established atheism as the official religion of the US. This must be reversed.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

Just as the first amendment prescribes - no established religion, and no interference with the people's liberty to practice their religion.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

None of the above, the Constitution is ordained to, among other functions, provide for the common defense of our nation. In today's world the threats are of a nature the founding generation could not have foreseen. The State Department has demonstrated clearly over the past many decades to be incapable of addressing these threats effectively. It's time to bring in different minds and ideas to deal with threats facing us in the 21st century.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

The Trump administration was making historic progress with this issue, how about we return to those endeavors to address this issue.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

None of the above - the government should get out of the way of all opportunities for the people to prosper, and those who need help should have access to it from charitable organizations first, and the government should be the last resort to help those who genuinely need help.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Disagree

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Agree

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Full tax credit for families that choose alternatives to public school for their children. Reduce personal and business income tax rate.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigrants who wish to and are capable of prospering and assimilating to the culture of the United States are welcome.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

Qualified immunity is a very misunderstood concept. A public servant performing their duties, to the best of their ability, in compliance with the Constitution first, then compliance with laws made in pursuance of the Constitution second, and finally policies that are Constitutionally supported, then there is immunity. If bad policies or laws are being enforced there are already laws against this. First in jeopardy should be the governing officials who issued the unlawful order.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

Fighting crime with social workers is another fool's errand of the Left.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The 2nd Amendment will protect public safety better than any would-be dictator.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Disagree

People who suffer adverse effects from vaccines should be able to sue big pharma. Products used safely as intended advance no liability to the manufacturer.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Choose not to answer

Interesting that Constitutional Conservative is not among the selections. If you're going to pigeonhole a person, it should be added.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

FB page Country Logic with Mike Williams - twitter @Country Logic with Mike Williams - I also contribute to LogicNation.US as a Constitutional commentator

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

My legislative priorities are listed in the Issues tab on my website mikewilliams31ctx.com - I have 12 objectives....

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Immutable characteristics one comes into the world with are afforded Rights. Personal choices come with consequences when those decisions infringe upon the Rights of another.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Fighting racism with racism is a fool's errand of the Left.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Christian.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

There are 4 Constitutional Amendments that address voting rights which share a common phrase - the Right of the Citizen to vote Shall Not be denied or abridged. Ineligible votes of any nature abridge that Right.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

A law that would place severe consequences on those public officials who are responsible to secure Citizens voting Rights.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Race pimps are the threat to domestic tranquility. There are those who profit greatly by stoking racial tension for personal gain. One principle is the key to this issue - Treat others as you wish to be treated. That rule is in fact the foundation a law and is where the answer is to be found.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

Energy independence is a national security issue.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

None of the above - the EPA has become a corrupt agency bent on using environmental fearmongering to advance a political agenda. We can extract natural resources and be good stewards of the environment at the same time.
